Aandavan Kattalai - the ultimate. As I have already written in the review, Devika would have simply excelled in Romance and teasing. சட்டென்று பெய்த மழையாலும் இடியாலும் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் அனைத்துக் கொண்டு விட, பிறகு தன்னிலை உணர்ந்து நடிகர் திலகம் சாரி சொல்ல, But I am not sorry என்று தேவிகா சொல்ல, What do you mean என்று NT கேட்க, இதுக்கெல்லாம் எப்படி ஸார் meaning சொல்றது என்று முகத்தில் வழியும் மழை நீரை நடிகர் திலகத்தின் மேல் தெறித்து விட்டு போகும் அந்த குறும்பு, மனசிலே இருக்கிற அந்த நுட்பமான எதிரி யாரு ஸார் என்ற கிண்டல், கோவளம் கடற்கரையில் அழகே வா பாடலின் போது வரும் முக பாவம், எல்லாவற்றிருக்கும் சிகரம் வைத்த மாதிரி வரும் அமைதியான நதியினிலே ஓடம் பாடல், இவை எல்லாமே இந்த ஜோடிக்கு வலு சேர்க்கும் விஷயங்கள்.

Rakesh had written about Muradan Muthu recently (Saradha too) and the பாயசம் பரிமாறும் scene again showcases the pair's chemistry.

The movie Shanthi - not much of screen space for Romance but that one song நெஞ்சத்திலே நீ நேற்று வந்தாய் would more than make it up. The lovely looking Devika with a stylish whistling NT would be a treat to watch.

As Neela vanam has been recently written about and since it had been quoted here also, let us not go deep into that. But one thing that needs to be pointed out is it was love between an husband and wife and it would have come out well.

One more factor that made NT fans like Devika was she never did any film with MGR except Ananda Jothi. But as Saradha pointed out it was like a one day match. Paava Mannippu was on March 1961 and Neela Vanam was Dec 1965. So it was a very short period but still it turmed out to be one of the best pairs.

Sar, I had goosebumps reading this post. Thank you so much. But you know well that we are just having fun here. We all love NT so much and we like all the actresses paired with him. This is just a picnic out for us, when we are not being serious like in the other thread.

Getting others attention back, especially the song Azhage Va as highlighted by Murali-sar.

No actress in the history of TFI has managed to mix glamour, sexiness with hint of lust without going vulgar and showing off skin like Devika in this scene. There is some sort of Deivigam in it. There is something of a sacred flower-like quality to her appearance and her body language. It's sin to pick this flower, and NT just fell for it. NT's reaction to this scene looks unbelievably real. The man is struggling with his conscience that forbids him to reach for the unreachable, to touch the untouchable, to feel the one that can burn his finger, to embrace one that may worth giving his life for. The action and reaction from this two is amazing.

I failed in the Chemistry subject back in the school days. I don't know why, but now I know. This is the chemistry that I understood.

So people, its still not too late. Vote for DEVIKA now!
