Yes, Hamid. That would be his step-brother. This was supposed to hav e happened after Saritha and Rajini couple's "reform". Saritha was great in that role...but then, those days you can hardly tell if actresses like her are making a debut. They are that prepared.

Anyway, its good that Tappu Talanggal is getting second chance over here. I have a DVD of it. And I still go around bragging that I saw it on big screen.

thalaivar acts as a hero in this b/w movie...

what time was it when 16 vayadhinilae came... cos in that thalaivar was villain and it was a color movie...

after doing hero roles, he again did some villain roles also??

Interesting question. Some directors preferred B/W over color films. Thappu thaaLangal apparently released after 16V. TT in fact was unique in many aspects.
-The movie was made at a budget of 7L, thalaivar hero-vA nadicha padangaLLayE remmmba lowest budget.
-It released on 1978 deepavali.
-Two more thalaivar films released the same day!!! AvaL appadithAn (last film as villain, black and white - did not do well), thaai meedhu saththiyam (hero, color, again did not do well).
-Thappu Thaalangal was a hit.

oh ya... i was wondering wat would be the budget of this movie... watched it from office itself... thanks bay for the link... wat a screenplay and plot... KB, the guts to make such a movie, and some of the daring dialogues... :notworthy: don think anybody now would dare for such things...
most parts of the movie is moving without any background score, still its not boring :shock:
and thalaivar after killin his bro, the long laugh which turns out to be tears :notworthy:

and his subtle styles, and the way he disarranges his hair after combing it everytime... awesome... :lol:

so u mean to say, after aval appadithan, he did not act as villain in any movie?
