I just want to add one more thing, before any one go for any kind of surgery stay away from Ginger and Garlic at least for a week. Both work /act as an anti coagulant that is blood thinner. Might lead to more bleeding during or after surgery.

Men who adopt five healthy lifestyle habits could reduce their risk of heart attack by 80%, a new study suggests.
Researchers in Sweden looked at the benefits of a low risk diet and healthy lifestyle practices in more than 20,000 men aged 45 to 79 years.
A combination of a healthy diet, moderate alcohol consumption, no smoking, physical activity and exercise, and not being overweight, all helped lower the odds of an early grave, the study found.
The men had no history of cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure or cholesterol.
Over an 11-year period, 1,361 heart attacks were recorded among participants. Of the 1,724 men who ascribed to none of the healthy practices, 166 suffered heart attacks. Yet only 3 heart attacks were recorded among men who practiced all five.
The incident rate decreased the more that men adopted the healthy habits, including among those with high blood pressure and cholesterol. Only 1% of participants adhered to all five rules.
"Almost 4 out of 5 heart attacks in men may be preventable with a combined low-risk behaviour," concluded the study, published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
"There is a lot to gain and money to be saved if people had a healthier lifestyle," said study lead author Agneta Akesson, from the Institute of Environmental Medicine at Karolinska Institute.
Among Prof. Akesson's suggestions, men should eat better, lose weight, cycle or walk for 40 minutes a day, quit smoking and limit alcohol to one drink a day.

1. Clove
Clove is one of the most important ingredients for treating any kind of dental issue, including cavities. Due to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antibacterial properties, clove can help alleviate pain and prevent the cavity from spreading.
Dilute 2 to 3 drops of clove oil with 1/4 teaspoon of sesame seed oil. Put a few drops of this solution on a cotton ball and dab the solution on the affected tooth. Repeat every night before going to bed.
Another option is to gently chew a whole clove to extract its oil. Then keep the clove under your tongue for several minutes.
Note: Do not use clove oil in excess or too frequently as it best used for temporary relief.

Spit it out. Avoid gargling or swallowing the oil.

There are two effective antibacterial compounds in dried licorice root – licoricidin and licorisoflavan A – that can prevent the growth of cavity-causing bacteria. Plus, this herb can also reduce plaque.
Use dried licorice root powder to brush your teeth on a regular basis.
You can also use a soft stick of licorice like a toothbrush to brush your teeth daily.

8. Indian Gooseberry / Amla
Another well known herb that can help reduce cavities is Indian gooseberry, also known as amla. Being high in antioxidants and vitamin C, it combats bacteria and fights infections.
It also promotes healing and development of connective tissue that benefits the gums. Additionally, it cleans the mouth and helps get rid of bad breath.
Eat one fresh amla daily.
You can also take 1/2 teaspoon of dried amla powder along with 1/2 glass of water daily.
If fresh or powdered amla is not available, consider taking a capsule. Consult your doctor first.
9. Nutmeg
According to a study conducted at the Yonsei University in Korea, the anticariogenic properties of nutmeg extract can be used to prevent cavities and tooth decay caused by cariogenic oral bacteria.
Simply grate some nutmeg and mix it with a little clove oil or oregano oil. Apply it on the affected teeth, let it sit for 10 minutes and then rinse your mouth with warm water. Repeat this remedy at least 3 or 4 times a day.
You can also apply nutmeg oil directly on your teeth using cotton swabs.
10. Wheatgrass
The natural antibacterial properties in wheatgrass help fight tooth decay and cavities as well as reduce the pain resulting from cavities.
Plus, wheatgrass is a highly concentrated source of vitamins A and E along with minerals like iron, calcium and magnesium, which are essential for healthy and strong teeth.
Drink 1/2 glass of wheatgrass juice daily on an empty stomach as a preventive measure to fight cavities.
Another option is to mix one part wheatgrass juice with six parts water. Swish it in your mouth for 1 minute and spit out. Follow this treatment 2 or 3 times a day.
You can also chew some wheatgrass slowly and thoroughly. This is considered a healthy exercise to make the gums and teeth strong.
Additional Tips
Regularly use an antibacterial mouthwash. This can help kill bacteria, remove plaque and prevent gum disease.
Rinse your mouth with warm water after every snack or drink.
Avoid foods and drinks with refined sugar as they can create plaque.
Drink green and black tea to reduce plaque build-up and reduce the growth of bacteria in your mouth.
After drinking any kind of acidic beverage, brush your teeth and rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Chew sugar-free gum to stimulate the production of saliva and make your teeth strong.
Drink an ample amount of water throughout the day. Water not only helps clear away bacteria, but is important for the production of saliva.
Drinking cranberry juice regularly also helps improve oral hygiene.
Make sure to eat foods rich in vitamins A, D, E and K, as well as enough calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and other key minerals.
Eat high fiber foods to help increase the production of saliva in your mouth, which serves as a natural protector for your teeth.
Take a vitamin D supplement.
Eat cheese daily to obtain relief from the problem of cavities.
