RECORD
Had Sunil Gavaskar scored his 30th Century in 52 Tests, we can say that he broke Sir Don Bradman’s Record of 29 Centuries in as many Test Matches. As otherwise it is just an “
achievement” nothing more than that.
If you have one property purchased in 1950 @ Rs.100,000.000 and If I am going to buy a property in some other place [ outside city] but same Sq.Ft. now for Rs.200,000.00 and say my property value is worth more than your Property then it is incorrect.
Every actor has his own Pros. If we need to compare his movies, we need to compare it with his subsequent movies only.
As a matter of interest, I happed to see the Collection of Ulagam Sutrum Valiban in 1973 and had the movie released in 1979 what would have been the “value of 1973 collection in 1979”.
PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM COMPARING ULAGAM SUTRUM VALIBAN WITH ULAGAM SUTRUM VALIBAN ONLY, not with any other Movie.
As a matter of fact words are available in abundance which everyone know to use. Hence, persons should desist making comments like “வசூலை துடைத்து எறிந்து விட்டது” etc.
As an individual, I would accept any movie collection which bettered the 1979 figures of Ulagam Sutrum valiban as a “record breaking” movie. As otherwise I would consider it as a "Milestone"/"achievement".
However,
please note that we need to worry about the increase in the ticket price, production cost, advertisement, theatre capacity as well.
I am prepared [ if anyone wants] to make such a comparison for any other movie, irrespective of the Actor.
Thanks.

Please correct me if the figures are incorrect.
