'பக்த துக்காராம்' பட ஆய்வை பாராட்டிய தங்களுக்கு என் ஆழ்ந்த நன்றி. மிக அபூர்வமான படத்தைப் பற்றி நான் எழுதியதை விட அந்தப்படத்தின் அருமை அறிந்து தாங்கள் ரசித்து மகிழ்ந்ததற்கு பெருமகிழ்ச்சி கொள்கிறேன். மற்ற மொழிப் படங்களில் நம்மவருடைய பங்கு அது சிறிய வேடமாக இருந்தாலும் எத்தகைய அர்ப்பணிப்பு இவருடையது! தமிழில் நாம் அவர் நடித்த பல படங்களைப் பார்த்திருந்தாலும் வேற்றுமொழிப்படங்களில் அவருடைய ஆளுமை அளப்பரியது. அளவிடற்கரியது. அத்தகைய படங்களில் எனக்கு விருப்பம் மிக மிக அதிகம்.

You said what I wanted to say, Mr Gopal. thanks. The romance didn't have to be intense or erotic, but briefly (maybe 2 - 5 mins) show mutual affection after the love was declared.

Rojavin Raja is one of few NT movies I'm yet to watch. Does anybody know any online link to this movie? It's not in youtube, only the songs available.

As well as being NT fans, we were all ‘Kalki’ fans too. When I was a teenager, me and my sister vehemently read ‘Sivakamiyin Sabatham’ and used to discuss who would be better as ‘Mamallar’ and ‘Sivakami’ on big screen. We amicably concluded that; Sivaji Ganesan would be Mamalla Narasimhan, Padmini -(understandably) as Sivakami, SV Rangarao - Mahendra Varmar, Nagaiya - Ayanar, KA Thangavelu – Gundodaran!, SSR (? Not sure) – Paranjothi, SA Asokan – Pulikesi/Naganandi, ...etc..:goodidea:

I watched ‘Pavai Vilakku’ recently and realized what went wrong in casting of that movie. Having read the novel, I remember my mother mentioned long time ago, that the story was not suitable for ‘Sivaji’, instead, it should’ve gone to ‘Gemini Ganesan’. Having more than one pair to start with, poor casting probably caused the movie flopped. But in other hand, why not, I thought. For a change, NT should’ve had more than one pair but only had the producer selected the right ones it could’ve been successful.
Without thinking about the ‘call sheets’ or producer’s problems or whose name should be first to appear on the title, I could simply re-cast those 4 ladies again, for fun! Most of the part went to MN Rajam. She was a fantastic actress, no doubt, but to pair with Sivaji, she didn’t have that ‘aura’, if you know what I mean! She played a young woman who falls in love with a married man who is happened to be her favourite novelist. A young college girl’s charming was somewhat missing there. I thought, Sarojadevi would’ve been better especially in the song, ‘Kaviyama...’ That duet didn’t sparkle as it should’ve been, because of this mismatch, I feel. I’m not suggesting Padmini again for Kamala’s role but her acting wasn’t up to the standard. Bandaribai and Sowkar were ok, didn’t have much to do anyway. The problem is, as the story revolves around these 4 women and the writer, not only NT didn’t have much chance to react but the story looses its grip also.
