I totally see what yo're saying, and I well remember that back leg kick that he does !! Very prominent in the early 90 movies ... But above that, I just always thought, since he's always been a little stout, looked kinda slow, when compared to Rajini, Kamal, Arjun, Sarath, etc !!

only for some 7 to 8 years he is stout..... but in those days he will be like a normal man with some muscles, for viewers to accept that he is doing the stunt.

The police get up in sathriyan will be the best one for him & shows how a policemen will look like.

It is not only abt doing risky stunts. Action is also abt Dialogue delivery in action oriented scenes, body language, etc..

After all risky stunts can be done with help of stuntmen :wink: , ropes, and other things...

Take an example movie Baadshah..

The scene where he explains abt his past life to College principal and the effect over there and when Anataraj tried to misbehave with Rajini's sister..

For terrific effects of those scenes u need only Rajini there :P

Even i liked, climax fight in VV, where kamal never allows that ilamaaran to hit him & the puching dialogue - chinna pasangalaa yaarkitta velayaaduringa followed by single handedly lifting him.
Even kamal gives the gethu.
Present gen? - still chinna pasangadhaan :lol:

But captain uses minimum dupes, i think so.
