She was a good hand from old KB days. Server Sundaram comes to mind immediately. She was just great in that film.

While MMKR casting was a stroke of genius. (And my god she was excellent.)

Mahanadhi was a typical casting - but she brought so much into that role with her acting. The early morning scene is one of my favourite scenes in the film.

Relatively less impressed in Virumaandi though.

when she acted as 'MENAKA' in "vishwamitra" serial in doordharshan, almost all (including aunties, and uncles , and young men and women) were stumped with her beauty.

Ive heard comments like "menaka kooda ivlo azhaga irunthirukka mataa, banupriya koLLai azhagu" said by so many young men women and even aunties.

Nature is very cruel, at times, when such beauties become shockingly aged, in just a period of 10 years :(
