Somehow in my case, this song has been the slowest one to register. The singers do a very good job, but the percussion kinda hampers things... return to Bongo/congo? :confused2: Did they have this in the live performance? Or is it just some rhythm pad stuff?
Ditto with the SPB song... brilliant guitaring;that bend/'twang' at the end of the lines is super funky! Don't remember listening to this in any IR song before. But again, the tabla in the charanams sound kinda reluctant.
V_Sji, seekaram kElunga... you're in for a treat, and we're in for a super review from you!
Did a listen to all songs. Initial winners are (Singers) Ilayaraja, Shreya Ghoshal
Sure KV & skr. Karthik'um (milliblog) 200 words pOtirukkaru. Seems everyone liked it. :D
Wooooooöw what a news :jump:
GM + IR combo for romantic love story :)
GM :salute:
ViLaiyAttA padagOtti and ThAvith thAvi are lovely. No complaints at all. The rest - is it because of live recording or something is not in place - a bit hazy. Percussion is incongruent. And SPB's some voice acting is also mildly
Na.Muththukkumar has written lovely lyrics in both VP and TT. One of his bests.
And, wait, is Shreya Ghoshal's voice slightly auto tuned  in VP? Esp the pallavi.
And Hariharan's rendition > Shreya's. Shreya's sweetness at times betrays the real emotion.
This is probably the best of Raja - Hariharan combo. So melancholic.
Sweet little album this :-) Great choice of singers, some beautiful lyrics complement the fantastic tunes and arrangements. Quite easily the album of the year. May be until Padiththurai or NEP's release. Raja and Shreya are simply spectacular. Even Hariharan sounds so good. Naresh Iyer did not sound odd. Thaavi thaavi pOgum's short prelude is my favorite so far. Lovvvvly :-) :-)
Did not like SPB's gibberish and the percussions in chinna kanniley / thaavi thaavi pogum.
That would still be meettaadha oru veenai.
