Eros Music bags Kaththi audio rights for a whopping sum
Eros Music has purchased the much-anticipated audio rights of Vijay’s Kaththi for an undisclosed amount. While the official press release from Eros is likely to come tomorrow, Ayngaran International, one of the producers of the film confirmed the news on its official Twitter account. “Exclusive: #Kaththi audio rights snapped by #ErosMusic for a huge price.” It was only five days back, Soundarya Rajinikanth took charge as head of Eros south digital content and strategy. Kaththi marks Soundarya’s first huge deal in her new role.
Meanwhile, the plans for audio launch is going on in full swing and is likely to happen on September 18th in Chennai. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Kaththi has Vijay and Samantha in lead roles.

Kaththi's music is all set to be launched on September 18, now the latest is that EROS music has snapped the audio rights of the film for a whooping price of 3 crores say the sources. Though the figures are yet to be officially confirmed, the buzz in audio market says that Kaththi's audio rights is the biggest among recent Tamil films.
It has to be remembered that Soundarya Rajinikanth has joined EROS team recently and now for the first time EROS music has entered into Tamil film music. Kaththi has Vijay, Samantha, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sathish and many to its star cast.

AR Murugadoss much look forwarded movie is 'Kaththi'. Vijay, Samantha, Neil Nithin Mukesh, Sathish and many more stars will be a part of the cast in this film and the music composer for this film is Anirudh while the production is handled by Lyca Production. A case was filed against Kaththi saying that it was being insulting to particular religions, but the cases have been dissolved and the problems erased with no further ado.
The release of this film was having a few setbacks with cases being filed against it and now it seems like all the problems have been solved. The film has reached its final stages of shoot and will be released on Diwali as per schedule. The audio release for 'Kaththi' will be on the 18th of September and is one of the most awaited albums of the year too. Ilayathalapathy Vijay is a competent singer and has been rendering hit tracks over the past two decades. In his upcoming Kaththi, Vijay has gone behind the mike again for a song titled 'Let's take a selfie pulla' and we hear that the superstar completed recording for the song within an hour. Vijay is generally known to be very fast and hassle-free during his song recordings and for Kaththi too, composer Anirudh had it easy with Vijay.
'Let's take a selfie pulla' would be shot in Europe soon and totally only about 10 days of shooting remain, for Kaththi. The team is currently in Chennai shooting across the city in places like the AVM Studios and also in a spot near the Chennai Central railway station.

Kaththi vs Ai - The battle lines are drawn
The battle lines are drawn for the biggest box office battle in recent years, with Kaththi and Ai getting set to clash for Diwali in October. Before the respective releases of the films, the audio of both the films would be released in September 3rd week, just 3 days apart.
While Ai's audio, released by Sony Music, would be out on September 15 in the presence of Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, Kaththi's audio, released by Eros Music, would be unveiled on 18th September at the Leela Palace Hotel in Chennai.

Eros Music to release the sound track of Murugadoss' Kaththi starring Illaya Dhalapathy Vijay
Eros International Media Ltd, a leading global company in the Indian film entertainment industry announced its music label, Eros Music’s foray into Tamil music with the release its first Tamil album, Vijay starrer Kaththi, directed by AR Murugadoss with music by Anirudh Ravichander. Eros Music will release the sound track of this upcoming action thriller, one of the most anticipated Tamil films of 2014 on 18th September.
The soundtrack of Kaththi consists of an eclectic mix of singers and six tracks – soulful melodies to folk songs with Vijay himself lending his voice to one of the tracks - 'Selfie pulla'
