Not an apt place to hog the food. But couple of sidedish recommends for low/medium budget bars in Chennai:
GLM Meridien rooftop - chilli eggs.
Hotel Ranjith rooftop(Crystal bar) - chicken afghani
At end of it all, curd rice.

Cedars - Mediterranean. Now in Wallace Garden, Nungambakkam.
Slightly pricey and ordinary ambience. The spread and dishes are pretty good though
The thaali meals (Rajasthani) in Tip Top, Thane, Mumbai is sumptuous feast! And impeccable service!
Someone care to recommend some affordable Indian restaurants in London...
Near Kensington (close hotel), wright's lane..
will let u know in couple of hours Kiddie.
How affordable is affordable for you, kid? athai modjhalla chollunga
Seconding Plum's quote and yet..
KG Kensington is in Central London and even you are charged a congestion tax if you drive your car in the C London roads. So imagine the price of a meal there. The best (and nearer to Kensington) is Veersamy (not our T.R's) http://www.veeraswamy.com/ .. We can offered to go there just once in a year as the remaining of the year who end up earning to go to this restaurant
The affordable Indian restaurants are mainly in the Indianized areas in London like Wembley, East Ham, Oaking etc. There are restaurant chains like Chennai Dosa and you could even see Saravana bhavan in East ham.
Plum might have more to add though.
