Superstar Rajinikanth has asked those behind the 3D version of his blockbuster film ‘Sivaji’ to release it before Deepavali, after he learnt that Vijay’s ‘Thupakki’ would see the light of the day on the day of lights.
According to sources, Rajini felt that his film should not pose a hindrance to the collection of Thuppakki starring Vijay in the lead.
Hence, he has placed a request before AVM Productions, the producers of ‘Sivaji’, to release the 3D version before Deepavali.
Also, it was Soundarya R Ashwin’s wish that her father’s first 3D movie should be ‘Kochadaiyaan’. However, Rajini has asked her to hold the release of ‘Kochadaiyaan’ after AVM decided to convert ‘Sivaji’ into 3D format.

We had recently reported that the block buster movie of Rajini ‘Shivaji’ is in the process of being converted to 3D version and trailer was recently released, Rajini was impressed with the trailer and had requested his other blockbuster movies to be converted to 3D as well.
AVM had plans of releasing ‘Shivaji’ 3D for Diwali, but as Rajini got to know that Vijay’s Thuppaki and Surya’s Maatran is going to released on the same day, he has requested AVM productions to release the movie before Diwali so that it will not affect the collection of other movies.

Vidyut’s take on Vijay
People might consider actor Vijay to be a shy guy, who magically transforms into a livewire in front of the camera. However, his colleagues feel otherwise. Vidyut Jamwal, who impressed everyone with his performance in Billa 2 , is also playing the bad guy once again in the Vijay-starrer Thuppaki .
He says, “Honestly, Vijay is the most chilled-out person I have met. We have had long conversations about scenes and shots.”
Talking more about his role in Thuppaki , Vidyut says, “I love shooting action sequences and this movie too, will have intense action scenes. It was an absolute pleasure to work with people like Vijay and director A.R. Murugadoss.”
