My Palakkad stuff is at least 8 years old and many things have changed since then.
Ofcourse, most of the geography should be still good but not all other demographics...

Song powered by SPB and majestic wind instruments. rAsA in jubilant mood unleashing some of his carefree orchestral indulgences.
However, song looking so ugly on screen :-( Lack of technology / poor editing + graphics pal iLichchal. Should have been an embarassment for Rajinikanth & Raja when watching the movie (for BGM work or the preview). How can a successful director with some self-respect could do such screen shots - no one can imagine. More than the fact that the director / producer made jokers of themselves, the thing that irritates one is their taking TN people for granted / grossly underestimating the sensibilities of an average movie-viewer in TN. I'm sure it would have pained a precision artist like rAsA to watch such atrocities on screen!
Well, the song was a hit nevertheless - thanks to the popularity of Rajinikanth and the hard work of IR / SPB. Possibly rAsA had gone numb over the years to such massacres of his hard work on-screen. So should we be :-)
Accordingly, one can do two things w.r.t.such songs. 1. Focus on the musical brilliance 2. Get reminded of some personal experiences / funny events in life or the news items / other nostalic stuff of the time period when the album or the movie was hot. That way, I have the third reason for indulging in some suya purANam in this thread :wink: ( First reason - documenting the effect of rAsA & SPB on a typical / average admirer in TN under a variety of everyday life situations ; Second reason - getting a personal kick in asai pOdal - like reading some old, favourite kaduthAsees that were saved over the years)
That way, the recalls of this song were the moring 7:15 bus trips from the Walayar bus stand to workplace in Palakkad koottuppAtha...bus with songs ofcourse :-) BTW, this "bus stand" was nothing more than a small open space -half the size of a soccer field- on the border of TN-Kerala where Coimbatore city bus # 96 used to transfer people into Kerala buses plus the location of a few tea stalls, some occasional drunken comedians, frequent rain and sakathi.
My few months with those bus trips didn't have any interesting events - except my precise registering of the bus stops / daily-seen-faces / "landmarks" etc. (Recently a friend sent me a picture without any details and asked me to guess the location and I stunned him by telling the precise place...well, I've crossed that exact spot 100's of times on bus those days and many times on motor cycle later on...wherever there're no big changes, I can identify every small sign / post / landscape...)

We've recently discussed the song 'ada machcham uLLa' & await V_Sji's analysis on that. Well, this song's 'dhira nannA' in the first interlude is used as BGM in this movie...
I thought IR was talking about rights issue and forbiddance of such usage in new movies...there may be copyright loophole or the maker of eththan paid money to the rights' owner (KBR?)...
