Shankar opens up on songs of Sivaji
There is an assortment of conjectures which are doing brisk business in the media trying to outline the story of Sivaji. But director Shankar asserts that the actual film would be way ahead and beyond all conceivable imaginations. In an interview to a weekly,he states, "People suspect that I have used graphics techniques while filming the song 'sahara pookkal poothado'. But on the contrary, we have erected sets made of glass completely. As it is, it is difficult to shoot in a set but it is even more challenging to shoot in an ambience filled with glass as there is a lot of perceivable reflection which needed to be avoided. But thankfully, the results are satisfactory."
While talking about the other song vaaji vaaji, Shankar says that a grand palace was erected to shoot this number. Even the minutest and intricate details of a palace has been taken into consideration while erecting this citadel and Shankar adds with pride that such sets have never been created in the history of Indian cinema before. He is confident that viewers will be astounded by the grandiose of the sequence.

Shriya Saran cannot stopping talking about the songs in Sivaji. Says Shriya, who was shooting a song with Vijay in Karaikudi for Azhagiya Tamil Magan (ATM) : 的知 a big Rahman fan, and when I heard the Sivaji songs for the first time at the shoot I just went crazy about them. Believe me, the way Shankar Sir has shot the songs, along with Rajni Sir痴 dance movements, they are sure to be rocking.?P> Shriya says that one of the high points of her career will be that she danced with the superstar to the tune of A.R Rahman whom she calls 鍍he Mozart of Indian film music? She features in five out of the six songs in the film. Says Shriya: 的知 there in all the songs, except Ballelika?, the introductory song.?P> When asked about her favourite song in the album, Shriya says: 的 like all the songs and the way they are picturised. I知 sure that the songs will become bigger once the film releases and the channels popularize them. If you were to ask me my favourite song it is Vaaji, Vaaji, , the title song.?Shriya refused to talk further on the songs, as she feels the film and its presentation will talk for itself.
Ever since the shoot, she has been humming the Sivaji songs. Now that the album is out, she has all the songs on her ipod, and hears it during the breaks.
