I think the original lyrics went like "Madi meedhu thengum thene" and "malar meedhu.." was superimposed/replaced the lyrics later...

Devaraagam's pick of the day (kaNNAthAL) reminded me of kaNmaNikku vAzhthu kUrum from aNNan(unreleased). The connect being nothing more than the fact that audio for the two released close to each other, and the two albums were in my playlist simultaneously. Bhava's voice was used well and aptly here.

A beautiful song from Thaipongal.As from the reviews there may be very few or literally no songs in this raga. KJJ has done his best here making this another GEM.
