At one stage he decided he will do only as a hero and started with paNam pathum seiyum, which was a hit.
Some history :) After Vaidhegi Kaathirundhaal, GM was almost a rage and a must in Tamil films. I think he was the one who started charging 1 lakh per schedule. In Udhaya Geetham, he is a pOli saamiyaar collecting uNdiyal kaasu from tree to tree in different vehicles showing his transformation into a rich - cycle --> moped --> and finally in a car (Maruti 800) which was said to be his. Being in high demand, he took the decision to do only a hero. Thankfully he flopped. The hero was gone and a scientist was born. (kavidha - like olaippu dhaan mukkiyam - HR :thumbsup:)
