Deepika calls Rajinikanth ‘daddy’
She may be co-starring the legendary Rajinikanth in the upcoming state-of-the-art movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’, but it seems Deepika Padukone respects Rajini too much to even address him by his name. Reportedly, the sultry actress calls him ‘Appa’ and his wife ‘Amma’. The fact is really too interesting to ignore even though we know that Rajinikanth is probably a lot older even than Deepika’s father. We have come to know of this after Deepika tweeted thanking Rajini’s family for all the hospitality they showered over the actress while on her stint shooting for the movie down south.
Deepika Padukone has also developed a very friendly bond with Rajini’s daughter Soundarya, and they exchanged tweets about the same. Soundarya, who is also the director of the movie, had tweeted first, “Hey guys.back in Chennai after an awesome 2nd schedule in kerala..finished some good work.was gr8 working with deepika?she is such a darling(sic)”; to which Deepika had replied, “@sound_a_rajini thank u for making me feel so comfortable & for being such a wonderful director!lots of love to amma and appa & see you soon(sic).” Soundarya finally tweeted, “@deepikapadukone :):) It was a pleasure directing you! Will see you soon for sure Lots of love from Appa amma and the whole unit!!! Big hug!(sic).”
