In the middle of the song, it has shades of "Oru devathai" of Yuvan. Don't know which precedes which.

Hear it from http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZXGPdvE5YM from .33 to .42.
Nice find, it's one of Yuvan sir's divinest compositions along with ninaithu ninaithu and engeyo partha maykam. I believe Vamanan released first.

RAAJA SIR just finished recording a 43 second BGM for a Malayalam Film...He wrote the whole Score in just over 25 minutes for a full 54 member Orchestra...I just sat behind him and watched the Magic...!!!
Im guessing it must be for Sathyan's film..
Writing mind-boggling scores within an hour is 1% of thalaivar's functionality. I dunt think it is shocking in india as we are used to him, but other places like american and european cinema would probably faint upon seeing it.
Check out Embar Kannan and Ganesh performing Raaja Paarvai Theme Music..Sheer stuff of Brilliance !!

skr, thanks for sharing the Raagamalika link. Very good recreation of the theme music. Can anyone help me find a good quality mp3 version of the original?
Super performance recreating the Rajapaarvai theme. After seeing the video,
He was considered very close to IR. Not sure what transpired between them.
Thanks skr for the link. Excellent and mind boggling stuff there. This reminded me the theme performed by students(?), which I say few years back.
Thanks a lot skr for the link. Stunning! Amazingly played by Kannan and Ganesh! Tears automatically creep without me knowing it whenever I hear this piece of music. Only Raja can do such a magic. And how humble Kannan was. After playing this theme to perfection, he was saying he was happy that atleast he could play 30% of what V S Narasimhan had played.
Next audio release of Maestro is Shri Rama Rajyam..Music coming out in July ..

Skr,
Thanks for the raagamalika link. Pretty good reproduction of the theme music I should say. Enjoyed it. I also kinda liked all the songs performed in the program. Most of the new singers performed well. Saindhavi and Haricharan did their part well too.
Dont know why IR does not use singers like Saindhavi, Chinmayi and Harini. Has Saindhavi sung any song for IR?
Orchestra was pretty decent. I especially liked the flute part. Pretty neatly executed. Check out from 10:30 in the video. And also in first interlude of "Poo malarndhida" song. Base guitar (or is it synthesized) also becomes more prominent starting from the middle of first charanam of this song and extends till srivardhini singers the humming part in second interlude. Eager to listen to the original song.
thanks,
Krishnan
Thandavakone Trailer is up.

Two contrasting films coming up. Thanks skr and fan_ir for the links. Waiting to hear SPB back in IR's music, how good it feels when he sings 'Jagadananda kaaraka' and amazing he is still same old SPB with his voice intact. The trailer BGM of Thandavakone is another masterpiece and how the ambience and theme changes when Ilaiyaraaja name is on the title, too good!
IR's first movie in Marathi language. Uttam Singh is arranger.

Movie name is "Hello Jaihind". Curious to know how the theme is handled in the movie and how IR has approached for the music/BGM.
Recently read in an article that Kailash Kher has also sung for IR. Was wondering when did he sing for IR. Looks like it is this movie.
The movie is slated to release on November 25th. The year is not mentioned though :).
From the article, it is seen the crew has great respect for IR.
thanks,
Krishnan
Two nice blog posts by Raj. In one he discusses a film which has been recently discussed by app and V_S 'pagalil oru nilavu'

Thanks Sureshji, wonderfully written by Raj. Nice to see that Raj showcased some rare gems like Adi Naagu, Madhu Malargale. Always it's a delight to read and hear such rare ones.
Sriramajam release preponed to August (earlier scheduled in september). Audio to be out by end of July.

Raaja at the launch of the new marathi movie
http://www.marathimovieworld.com/new...o-jai-hind.php
Raaja is doing the movie for free
Thanks vssathish for sharing! Very nice speech and typical of Maestro.Quote:
While replying to questions posed by media persons, as to where was he for past few years; he replied very tactfully, I am here around you people doing my job with music , but you have not taken efforts to find out. Describing the Music and its language, he said that Music is the same for all languages. Does Sa Re Ga Ma differ with languages? He questioned. Music is in the heart, very much inside a human being and you have to feel it, he concluded.
dig. http://link.sensongs.com/Tamil/Kanch...0-%20Tippu.mp3
Looks like Thaman has gone down Raaja's lane again after Paniye Paniye. Tippu's rendition reminds of Rekka Katti Parakthu. end dig

Yes, I watched it this sunday. Outstanding stuff and amazingly played by Ganesh.:notworthy:
Truly a rare pic (Shared by Madhan Karky in FB)

Vigneshram, :ty: for sharing! Who is that beside IR? Do not want to hazard a guess...
That's definitely Vairamuthu.
Oh Vairamuthu has a thread here :)
First of all whether there's going to be a working-together of BR-IR again
That itself is questionable, let alone bringing VM in the equation...

Thanks layman for sharing this wonderful review. The ending notes is too good and very true.
Sounds like Forumhub's Madhan(irir123) incredible hard work in trying to spread thalaivar's music globally. If that is so, congratulations and a big thanks to him again. :D
