I happened to watch Kamal's video where Kamal saying that IR could modify the tune and come up with different output (Deva never does that). Example he gave was Inji Idupazhga. Gangai Amaran also expressed notion in an interview where he noted IR took that route in most cases. Inspiration kept IR going in 80s and 90s.
I believe Keladi Kanmani is not either Inspiration or Copy. It must be Coincidence (though 'so gaya' came before) or like 'Inji Idupazhagi').
But for 'Chittu Kuruvi' song it was in 'inspiration' category
This 'Kasmee vaade' - 'Neengal Kaettavai' song link has been discussed down to death already. BM wanted it, IR accepted (with hesitation). Period. Let's not reinvent the wheel. :-)
Thanks King for info reg 'Neengal Kaettavai' song. Didn't know about the earlier discussion. I also thought it would have been something that BM wanted. Nice to have that validated.

Just today I heard the song Vaarayo Vaarayo - Aadhavan fully. Very shortly at a shop I hear an English song playing with the same tune with electric guitars.
This is not about copying rather a tribute to MSV. His song "Raajavin Paarvai" is used in the French comedy "I always wanted to be a gangster (2007)" and rightly credited to MSV and Anbe Vaa. Goosebumps! It was used twice in the film the prelude of chariot sound and the female humming.
The track is not listed in imdb but this link have it.
