BTW kandippa Kolangal mudiyarappo oru periya built up kuduppanga (I remember 3 yrs back, they gave a big built up before that Abi character marraige). appadi edhavadhu irundha post pannunga. am sure I'll still understand the story after this big a gap.

all present megaserials do the same thing. As far as i've seen Kolangal and Anandham locally, Selvi does it internationally.
Among family based serials, Vikatan's first 'Anandha Bhavan' did an excellent job. It was very realistic without much melodrama and was portrayed crisply (finished within a year if i remember).

my mom sees (or rather used to see it). i might've seen some 3-4 episodes out of some 600-700 odd. I did see Anandha Bhavan almost completely.

Yesterday, Usha made Anjali to escape from that 'Maadi' (maadu is suitable name), by attacking him by 'uruttu kattai'. Good.
Aadhi asusula shouting for the absence of Usha during her child's illness.
'Vaai veeram pesum' Anjali keeps quit, when her brother is shouting her anni. too bad.
Ramachadran is 'ottuketting' what Abhi and Thols were talkig. Too much 'ottu kettal' scenes in this serials.
