The most interesting passage of play in India’s Test win over New Zealand on Monday wasn’t the adventurous partnership between Sehwag and Gambhir that (kind of) set the game up. Nor was it the controlled sixth wicket stand between Dhoni and Kohli that sealed the series. The bit I am talking about lasted less than a minute, and it came at the end of the 17th over of India’s chase.
Trent Boult bowled the last ball of that over to Gautam Gambhir, and with a lot of help from the Indian opener, found the edge of the bat. The catch flew to Ross Taylor in the slips. He took it comfortably, and kicked the ball high in the air, All Blacks style. He then turned in the direction of Gambhir and appeared to shout “Bhen…d!” Twice, in a space of a few seconds, unless the camera angles fooled me into believing the same event had occurred more than once.
with ICC's new tech to catch chucksters in real match situation..looking forward to Weed's comeback trail :-D

There is no reason for undue concern," 30-year-old Gambhir told TOI on Sunday, two days ahead of the second and final T20 International against New Zealand at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Gambhir made 22, 34 and 2 in three innings in the 2-0 Test series victory over the Kiwis, and his last Test hundred came against Bangladesh in January 2010.
"I scored a century and two fifties in five one-day internationals against Sri Lanka before the New Zealand Tests," Gambhir said. "I realise I didn't convert the starts in the New Zealand Tests, but it is just a question of time before I get a big one.
"I said after my first Test 100 (during the gap between his first and second hundred in Test cricket) that once I get my second, many will follow, and I say it now again, once I get the next, my 10th, many more will follow," said the Delhi batsman.
"We need to adapt to all three formats of the game in different conditions. I am feeling comfortable with my batting form, I am middling the ball and like I said I it is only a question of time before I get my next Test hundred," he said.

ada neenga'na neenga ellae :lol2: Sanju Manju during India's 1st innings @ Hyd opined that ATG was mentally 'preparing' himself for the long test season by playing in the 'V' and 'middling' everything which came his way in IPL/SL odies..little did you know that ODI/IPL would never employ a gully/third slip so all the glides/dabs to third man will result in early morning slip catching practice is tests. same case can be made for CSK Raina in tests.
