Dear Senthil,
The story is different here compared to KARNAN. I do not know how much of the investment is proporationate to that of KARNAN. But VM is more of fans oriented and we can expect other people gradually. This will be done by WOM which is natural and more binding. No harm in doing promotions as you desired but I don't think that much need to be done for VM. If it's done it would be an added advantage.

as Raghavendar sir rightly told,

Vasantha Maaligai = Fans expectation, but

Karnan = Fans + Public expectation.
