As for sollAmal thottu chellum thendral Hariharane aniyAyaththukku kashtap pattiruppAru pAdurathukku. Purely because of the octave ranges performing that song on stage is very difficult. Most guys would have to sing it falsetto and you are pretty much opening up you voice to extreme levels of uncertainty in terms of shruthi when you do that.
As for sollAmal thottuchellum - as you say even Hariharan would have struggled and I think he had managed it with some editing work.

Three much, you stereotyping her as a mukkal/munagaL singer. She tries to be expressive but sometimes it looks bad, thats about it
Vipin is good at hitting the higher notes but this song's got plenty of feel, sangathis, gamakams and stuff and it's doubtful that he can manage it . He has his own style. This time he sang manasu renDum pEsa, kaNgaL reNdum pArkka - kaadhal veLLam ponguthE (not sure of the exact lines  )Quote:
sollAmal thottu sellum?? Common, thats such a tough song.. It needs the singer to scale from 1-note to 6/7-notes. Very dippicult. May be Vipin can pull it off, which one did he sing??
