Sp.M's first film was Kanimuthhu Pappaa way back in 1972, which was a loose adaptation of Rajesh Khanna - Hema - Shammi Kapoor starrer Andaz. Remember Zindhaki ek Safar and Mamma bolo bolo songs? they were literally lifted for this film.
