Nannbenda is Udhayanidhi Stalin’s third movie as a hero after Oru Kal Oru Kannadi and Idhu Kathirvelan Kadhal. The shooting and also the patch works for the movie are apparently completed now.
The dubbing and re-recording work for the film are said to be finished too with just some minor post production left. Nannbenda has 6 unique tracks composed by Harris Jayaraj, out of which three songs have supposedly been shot overseas.
It must also be noted that this Udhay - Nayanthara starrer also has Tamannaah playing a cameo role while Udhay’s regular Santhanam will be seen playing an integral part in the film.
As reported earlier Nannbenda will be releasing on the 2nd of April along with Kamal Haasan’s Uttama Villain.

Joins hands with Lingusamy’s Thirrupathi Brothers. Set to also release ‘Rajini Murugan’ starring Sivakarthikeyan. The company had also bagged the worldwide rights last year for Rajinikanth’s Lingaa.
Eros International Media Ltd will release actor Kamal Haasan’s much awaited comedy ‘Uttama Villain’ as well as upcoming actor Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Rajini Murugan’.
The company, which acquires, co-produces and distributes Indian films across formats, on Tuesday said that for this it has joined hands with director N.Lingusamy’s production house Thirrupathi Brothers Media Pvt Ltd.
“As part of the tie-up, Eros will release two of the most anticipated films in Tamil cinema with Telugu dub,” Eros International said in a regulatory filing to the stock exchange.
A comedy written by Kamal himself and starring Anuskha Shetty, ‘Uttama Villain’ is directed by Ramesh Arvind. The film, whose trailer was released on Pongal day last month, is slated for release on April 2.
‘Rajini Murugan’ is also a comedy and directed by Ponram, whose last venture with Sivakarthikeyan was ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam.’ Eros International managing director Sunil Lulla said both the films will be “high on the entertainment quotient and promise to connect with fans and audiences.” The company had also bagged the worldwide rights last year for Rajinikanth’s Lingaa.
Mr. Lingusamy said that the association with Eros to co-produce the two films was the beginning of a “long and successful journey” with the company.

any other big releases planned near UV release?
Many movies are planned during the same weekend. Karthi's next, Nanbenda, Mani rathnam's next, Vikram's next are just a few. They are not all big releases and some of them may not release on the same weekend as April 2 but these are all April releases for sure. Because of this, UV will not be a solo release. In terms of big release, Rajamouli's next (Bahubali) which is shot in both Telugu and Tamil is planned to release on April 10th.Quote:

WC ends by march 29,IPL starts by April-8..in between during Good Friday 4 day week-end movie is getting released..perfect time and if the movie is good it will do extremely well even after 2 weeks of release becoz of summer holidays..

During the audio launch of Viswaroopam, Kamal flew from one place to another and released the songs in three different places. Likewise, the Ulaganayagan is said to have invited all the stars, who played opposite him as villains over the years to the audio launch of Uthama Villain and will be honoring them in person.
If that's the case, then, Rajinikanth's name will be first in the list and one got to wait and watch whether the above stuff gets materialized. The audio is scheduled to happen on the 1st March.

MMA was original flop. VR was a remake. Munnabhai was fantastic. VR was average for someone who had watched Munnabhai. Both mma and vr mbbs were waste of time.
