Director CS Amudhan who came up with the spoof Thamizh Padam some years ago is back with a bang. The director’s next film has been titled Thalavali, which has Ajith and Vijay look alike as heroes.
The posters and first look of Thalavali will be out in a week and the director will make an official announcement very soon.
Wonder how Ajith and Vijay fans are going to take this!

Ace director Mani Ratnam, whose forte is romantic musicals is likely to do his favourite forte again. According to sources, the director‘s next will be an intense love story based on the sensitive issue of plight of Rameshwaram fishermen at the hands of Sri Lankan Navy.The film will have actor Karthik‘s son Gautham in the lead role. It is heard that recently the director called Tollywood sensation Samantha for a screen test at his office in Chennai. However, she failed to impress the ace director and was eventually rejected.
The director is still looking for a suitable actress for his film. Music maestro AR Rahman and ace cinematographer Rajeev Menon will reportedly be a part of the project. Well, it looks like the ace director is all set to recapture the magic of Roja, Mouna Raagam and Alaipayuthey again on screen.

ஹைதராபாத்: இயக்குனர் ஏ. ஆர். முருகதாஸை தலையில் தூக்கி வைத்து பேசிய சிரஞ்சீவியின் மகன் ராம்சரண் தேஜாவின் பல்லை உடைப்பேன் என்று பிரபல தெலுங்கு நடிகர் பாலகிருஷ்ணா தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
ஏ. ஆர். முருகதாஸின் 7ஆம் அறிவு தெலுங்கில் செவன்த் சென்ஸ் என்ற பெயரில் டப் செய்யப்பட்டு வெளியிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த படம் குறித்த விழா ஒன்று ஹைதராபாத்தில் நடந்தது. அதில் சிரஞ்சீவியின் மகனும், முன்னணி நடிகருமான ராம்சரண் தேஜா இயக்குனர் முருகதாஸை ஆஹா, ஓஹோ என்று தலையில் தூக்கி வைத்து பேசினார்.
முருகதாஸ் ஒரு திறமையானவர். அவரைப் போன்று திறமையான இயக்குனர் ஆந்திராவில் பிறக்காதது நமது துரதிர்ஷ்டம் என்று பேசினார். இதை கேட்ட பிரபல நடிகர் பாலகிருஷ்ணாவுக்கு மூக்குக்கு மேல் கோபம் வந்துவிட்டது.
இது குறித்து அவர் கூறியதாவது,
சினிமா வரலாறு பற்றி தெரியாமல் எதாவது பேசக்கூடாது. தெலுங்கு திரையுலகிலும் முருகதாஸ் போன்ற திறமையான இயக்குனர்கள் இருக்கத் தான் செய்கிறார்கள். அவர் இனியும் இது போல தெலுங்கு இயக்குனர்களை தரக்குறைவாகப் பேசினால் பல்லை உடைப்பேன் என்றார்.
என்ன சிரஞ்சீவி பாலகிருஷ்ணா இப்படி பேசியிருக்கிறாரே என்று கேட்டதற்கு, ராம்சரண் அந்த விழாவில் பேசியதன் முழு விவரம் எனக்கு தெரியாது. ஆனால் தெலுங்கு திரையுலகிலும் திறமையான இயக்குனர்கள் உள்ளனர் என்றார்.

A two minute video clip has been making the rounds on the internet on Karthis speech at a Telugu channel, Maas award night in Hyderabad.
The actor when quizzed by an over enthusiastic anchor has said he liked Telugu audiences more as they enjoyed his films and appreciated it with loud claps and cheers which was missing in his home state.
A political outfit Hindu Makkal Katchi has seen red. The outfit has decided to protest in front of Karthis house in Chennai demanding an apology from the actor.
They have also plans to tear down his hoardings and posters in the state.
Karthi who is shooting in Chalakudy for his new Suraj directed film has clarified that Tamil audiences are equivalent to his parents.

Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, whose Dookudu is the highest collecting south Indian film of 2011, has a new film coming up for release in January 2012.
Its called The Businessman and is directed by hot shot director Puri Jaganaddh with Kajal Aggarwal doing the heroine role.
The Businessman is releasing in January and has music by the hot and happening Thaman.
Now the latest we hear is that Mahesh Babu and director Puri Jagannadh will render the catchy title track of the film. The promo video of the film will be shot, which will feature Mahesh, Puri Jagan and Thaman.
It looks like the whole concept and packaging is inspired by Dhanush and his Kolaveri song from 3!
Thaman has tweeted Businessman will have our heartthrob Mahesh and Puri Garu singing for the theme of the film.The song will have a making video too and it is gonna rock the world.

Osthi release runs into trouble!

STRs eagerly awaited Dharani directed Osthi, release on December 8 has run into trouble. There has been a big buzz around the film a remake of Salman Khans smash hit Dabangg.
The Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitors Association (TFEA) has put a red card on Osthi, which is to be marketed by Reliance Entertainment. The producers of the film has sold the satellite rights of the film to Sun TV, which is facing the heat from TFEA over unpaid dues it owes the theatre association.
About a month back, TFEA took a decision to boycott Sun Network, as the group did not return the caution deposit amounting to Rs 2.4 Crore taken from various theatre owners for their earlier films. At that time they made it clear that films for which Sun TV has taken satellite rights will be banned if their money is not returned.
Meanwhile Reliance Entertainment had sold Osthi satellite rights to Sun TV. However when they went out into the market to make theatre bookings TFEA stepped in and refused to give them playing time. Now Reliance has threatened to terminate the satellite rights agreement with Sun TV.
The ball is in Sun TVs court as they will have to pay the outstanding amount to TFEA if they have to retain Osthi television rights. Reliance will wait till Friday (Dec 2)evening, otherwise they will cancel the TV rights and go ahead with the release on December 8 with the support of TFEA.

Ajith's new film for Vijaya Productions !

Ajith and Siruthai fame director Shiva are coming together in an untitled film to be produced by Vijaya Productions.
The film will be a fitting tribute to the doyen of film production insouth B.Nagi Reddy the founder of Vijaya Productions on his birth centenary year.
Ajith and Shiva are said to be making a commercially viable action packed entertainer. The film will have music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and camera is by Vetri. The rest of cast and crew will be announced shortly.
As of now, it will have a working title Production 4″ and is produced by B Bharathi Reddy and presented by B Venkatarama Reddy.
The movie is slated to go on floors by mid-2012 .

எளிமையாக நடந்த தாண்டவம் பூஜை
விக்ரம் நடிக்கும் படம், யு டிவி தயா*ரிப்பு என பெ*ரிய பெயர்கள் இருந்தாலும் படு எளிமையாக பூஜை போட்டு தாண்டவத்தை தொடங்கியிருக்கிறார்கள்.

படத் துவக்கத்தின் போது வெளியான இப்படத்தின் போஸ்டர்கள் பெரும் வரவேற்பை பெற்றன. 'நீதானே என் பொன்வசந்தம்' படத்திற்கு புதிய இசையமைப்பாளரை ஒப்பந்தம் செய்யலாமா என்று ஆலோசித்து வருகிறார் கெளதம் மேனன் என செய்திகள் வலம் வந்தன. பின்னர் படத்திற்கு ஏ.ஆர்.ரஹ்மான் ஒப்பந்தம் செய்யப்பட்டிருப்பதாக தகவல்கள் கசிந்தன. இப்போது, ரஹ்மான் மிகவும் பிஸியாக இருப்பதால் அவர் கௌதம் மேனன் படத்திலிருந்து விலகிவிட்டார் என்று பேச்சு நிலவி வருகிறது.
இந்நிலையில் கெளதம் மேனன் கூறியிருப்பது " 'நீதானே என் பொன்வசந்தம்' படத்தின் இசையமைப்பாளர் யார் என்பதை நான் எந்த ஒரு விளம்பரத்திலும் குறிப்பிடவில்லை.
நாயகன், நாயகி மற்றும் சில தொழில்நுட்பக் கலைஞர்களைப் பற்றி மட்டுமே குறிப்பிட்டேன். இசையமைப்பாளர் குறித்து இதுவரை நான் சொல்லவில்லை.

ஒஸ்தி படம் வருமா வராதா இந்தக் கேள்வி ரசிகர்களுக்கு இருக்கிறதோ இல்லையோ, அந்தப் பட யூனிட்டைச் சேர்ந்தவர்களுக்கு நிச்சயம் இருக்கிறது. காரணம், கடந்த ஒரு வாரமாக இந்தப் படம் டிசம்பர் 8-ம் தேதி ரீலீஸ் என்று ஒரு தரப்பும், இல்லையில்லை ரிலீஸாக விடமாட்டோம் என்று இன்னொரு தரப்பும் மல்லுக்கட்டிக் கொண்டு நிற்கிறது.
வரவிடமாட்டோம் என்பதற்கு முக்கிய காரண், இந்தப் படத்தை சன் டிவி வாங்கியிருப்பதுதான். சன் பிக்சர்ஸ் தரவேண்டிய ரூ 4 கோடியை தியேட்டர் உரிமையாளர்களுக்கு தந்தால்தான் படத்தை ரிலீசாக விடுவோம் என்கிறது தமிழ்நாடு திரையரங்க உரிமையாளர்கள் சங்கம். பிரசாந்த் நடித்த மம்பட்டியான் படத்துக்கும் இதே சிக்கல்தான்.

அறிக்கை வெளியான அன்று மாலையே மீண்டும் பத்திரிகையாளர் சந்திப்புக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்த திரையரங்க உரிமையாளர் சங்கத்தின் பொதுச் செயலாளர் பன்னீர் செல்வம், அந்த அறிக்கையே செல்லாது. அதில் நாங்கள் கையெழுத்துப் போடவுமில்லை, என்றார்.
மேலும் கூறுகையில், ஒஸ்தி, மம்பட்டியான் படங்களுக்கு ஒத்துழைப்பு கொடுப்பது இல்லை என்று எடுத்த முடிவில் மாற்றம் இல்லை. எங்களுக்குள் சமரசம் ஏற்பட்டதாக வெளியான செய்தி உண்மை இல்லை. இருபடங்களையும் திரையிட மாட்டோம். எங்கள் டெபாசிட்டை தருவதாக முதலில் ஒப்புக் கொண்டு இப்போது மீண்டும் முரண்டு பிடிக்கிறது சன் பிக்சர்ஸ். ஆனால் அபிராமி ராமநாதனுக்கு மட்டும் அவரது பங்கான ரூ 80 லட்சத்தைக் கொடுத்துவிட்டது. இதனால் அவர் கையெழுத்துப் போடுகிறார்.
எங்கள் நலனுக்கு எதிராக செயல்படும் அபிராமி ராமநாதனுக்கு இனி எந்த வகையிலும் ஒத்துழைப்பு தருவதாக இல்லை. அவர் திரையரங்கில் வெளியாகும் படங்களை இனி நாங்கள் திரையிட மாட்டோம்.

Lal in Mani Ratnams next film

Actor-director Lal (of the erstwhile duo of Siddque and Lal) has reportedly been offered a role in celebrated filmmaker Mani Ratnams forthcoming project.
According to sources, Lal was absolutely excited at the offer, but had to decline it as he is busy acting and directing his latest project Cobra, with Mammootty as the hero.
But now, when the shooting of the Mani film got delayed, Lal has revived his hopes to be part of it.
Lal has earlier done a few films like Deepavali in Tamil. He started off as a director and then went on to become a producer, distributor, studio owner and actor.
He is much in demand as an actor, especially after the smashing success of Salt N Pepper, in which he played a chronic bachelor who falls in love with Swetha Menons character.
The shooting of Cobra is going on at Chalakudy now and will be completed by January end, in two schedules.
Lal is keen to be part of Manis project and has been hoping that the change in schedules works to his advantage.

The Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that hot and happening Bollywood star Sonam Kapoor is going to be ace director Mani Ratnams heroine in his new film.
The film tentatively titled Pookadai will star Karthiks son Gautham who will be debuting as hero.
Earlier there were rumours that yester year heroine Radhas youngest daughter and Ko girl Karthikas sister Thulasi would debut as heroine.
Much before that there were rumours that Kamals youngest daughter Akshara will play the female lead.
Mani and his cameraman Rajeev Menon had conducted a photo shoot and after thatit seems they have decided to cast Sonam.
Mani Ratnam is keeping the entire project under the wraps. So far there is no official word on the project which is set to start rolling early January.

The release of new Malayalam films is going to be affected in Tamil Nadu after the ongoing Mullaperiyar controversy between the two neighboring states.
Kerala is demanding for a new dam in place of the existing one, which is reportedly not in a good shape now.
Tamil Nadu has opposed this move stating that Kerala is not presenting the real facts. This has been the main issue between the two states of late and now, this has affected the release of films as well.
There are huge fans for Tamil films in Kerala and some of the Malayalam films, especially from the superstars, have found good response from the Tamil crowd.
According to some reports, the release of the Mammootty starrer Venicile Vyapari and the Mohanlal- Priyadarsan film Arabiyum Ottakom P Madhavan Nairum in oru marubhoomikkatha may be affected in Tamil Nadu. Both the films are ready to hit the cinemas in the coming few days.

The latest buzz doing the rounds in Kollywood is that Vishal has found his soul mate in none other than Sarath Kumar's daughter, Varalaxmi.
