Nah i mean MI Team avanai kalatti vittutaanga for todays match.
Dropping him just after 2 bad performances is not justified, IMO. We don't have a proper opener now and stop gap arrangements won't be successful. Also a regular keeper is much better than making someone like Rayudu to keep wickets.
James Franklin is a waste of space. Can't Symonds bowl? Does he have a niggle or something? Why do they need Franklin, that too by compromising with the Keeping position?
Think this is where Dhoni's strategy of "Dont drop until he proves utterly useless" seems a good one. Ok, that's the opposite extreme. This one's a too hasty one.
Also, a promotion for Rohit, Symonds and Pollard is in order to keep them well oiled for the later matches.
Heck, it is just the IPL - Why am I getting involved? :(
Symonds is not fit to bowl, I heard. At least they could have got Aiden Blizzard in for Franklin. Franklin is not that great an allrounder, if MI is looking for team balance.
Malinga asked to return by SLC
Malinga had written to the board to say he was unavailable for the three tests starting from May 26, citing injury. However, he has continued to play in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians - where he is the side's main bowler.

sondha naatukku viLayaaduradha vida Ambaniamma-kku viLayaaduradhu mukkiyamaa?
Scorp,
He has played 1 test last year after 2007. He himself has wished not to play the longer format anymore. And at end of the day it's the individuals wish where he wants to play..
AF- Agreed, it is all about individual decisions. The article says Malinga has said that he has a nagging knee problem. His board wants him to undego rehab but he has chosen to play in the IPL. Article padichu paarunga, konjam idikkudhu.
Not sure what Cricbuzz is up to. Malinga has practically retired from tests and Chris Gayle was dropped along with other seniors by their cricket board, but CB blames the players in both cases.
EDIT: Malinga's interview where he says he is not going to play tests anymore because of injury concerns.
Adhan naanum nenachen LM. CB olarudhu :x.
CB failed to present the other side of the issue, but that is how journalism works.
Ippodhaan Cafeteria-la paarthEn, Times Now is making Malinga's 'Club over country' a big issue. Malinga-va thavira ellarum vandhu karuthu solraanga. Final conclusion seems to be the tiff between BCCI Vs Srilankan cricket board behind all this.
They don't have any clue how serious his injury was :sigh2: And he is not the first guy to retire from tests to prolong his limited overs career.

AF,
Not sure if you remember, Ray Price dismissed Sachin three out of three times in this test series. In fact, Sachin was criticised a bit for getting out to SLA bowlers like Price, Panesar during that season.
Thanks LM.
super still...
SL Malinga on 49 wickets. Hope he takes his 50th tomorrow. He is 6th on the list of highest wicket takers in the IPL. But he has played only 3 seasons and he has taken it in just 32 matches. He averages 16.32 every wicket and his econ is the least at 6.54

. Malinga is really the jewel of MI.
So 5 more matches; in that 3 home games. So unless we screw up monumentally we should be in the semi's. If we win the next 2 games it should be safe to say we will be in the semi's.

Invincibilty will become vulnerability once Malinga leaves.
SL board and Indian board agreed Lankan players minus Murali will leave on May 18. Last heard, SLCB was insisting that Malinga return irrespective of whether he plays tests or not. To protect his body from wear out, apparently
Hope Ambani puts pressure on Pawar and retains him till May 28 (If MI qualifies for Final). mAngA will be having another one month to take rest and be fit.
What happened suddenly
I don't know. Work computer screwed up(yeah, here too) and didn't watch even one ball of the match(thankfully). MI Deserve to be out.
