sir,
I have started reading the old threads to an extent for the last couple of days...i mean few threads that needs to be read, i have been reading.
Atleast now people who just for the sake of writing something negative and spread false, fake and misleading comments in other threads should stop doing so and appreciate the trend old films are creating. People who has stuff will win the rest can do only false propaganda. They seldom fail to realise that there is definitely a Sun Rise after Sunset.

Respected Senior Hubbers,
I would like to share my thoughts and observation here. I do not know if am correct on my views or not and therefore, i leave it to elders like Raghavendran sir, murali sir, gopal sir, etc.,
When old films are planned and decided to be re-released in theaters, i mean film that ages 40 plus years, that too in multiplex and airconditioned theaters, the distributors (whoever it is) of Sivaji Sir films atleast have the manasaatchi and spend quite a hefty amount on restoration, DTS etc., and then only they are releasing it making it VIEWABLE inline with the expectations of today's movie lovers (or) for general public in a COZY atmosphere. This is because, they do not want to cheat the public by using the same old prints which am sure would have lost its charm and quality in due course.
The intention I could see is, whether they make profit or loss...BUT, they provide something clean, neat and not horrible stuffs because the public is going to spend 80 - 120 bucks per ticket for old films. And, these films are screened every alternate day in any of the channel despite the availability of CD, DVDs etc., Only Distributors who have manasaatchi can do this.
public kitta namba enbadhu rooba ..nooru rooba vaangaporoam...so nalla quality print namma kudukkanum ..nalla theaterla podanum..comfortableaa public padam paakaanum...these are the genuine expectations from both the film viewer and the screener.
distributors nenacha dts, restoration edhuvum panaama...digital conversion mattum pannalaamae? yen adha pannala...? becos they don't like to cheat public by taking more money and use substandard stuffs. this is definitely appreciable. how many old films are being screened in this way i am not aware but i have seen Sivaji sir films am seeing regularly.

Dear Murali Sir
I have read fully about thalaivar's re-release films Thiruvilayadal, Vasantha maligai and Pasamalar happenings. Super sir. Also as per your statement i had seen vasantha maligai at madurai saraswathi on sunday evening 2nd week and almost 95% full house. The film has to run 3 weeks but forced to stop the film after 2nd week.In Trichy very poor response for V.Maligai and most of the people commented that in cd itself print was very fine and sound is nice but in theatre after spending Rs.80 no digital effect and correct restoration. Coming to PASAMALAR as Mr.Ragavendran said digital conversion is excellent but time and theatre selection is very bad. Here in trichy suppose it should released in A/c theatre instead palace theatre even only 10 percent of sivaji fans are seen in this theatre becasue this film is 100% class and this theatre is not suitable for this film. Surely pasamalar will create record in some time later no doubt. So all new generation and fans always behind with our NT only. No doubt.
For your information NINAITHALE INIKKUM also screened only in PALACE THEATRE, Trichy because of new films engaged in all A/c theatres. This is the status
