There were some good misses too. Autograph - It wouldn't have worked for Vijay. Cheran was apt. Singam - Surya is more fit to do that role. Not Vijay's cup of tea.

Ajay saaar... you really want to try that? (If you know what i mean)...You're gona waste your precious time my friend. Let's just keep to our topic.
Btw Ajay...why do you think Autograph wouldn't have worked for Vijay? In terms of box office?
Dammy,
Gotcha.
Yes. Cheran was apt as a 35 year old who relives his memories. Vijay was looking too young then.

Oh okay that way... you have a point. Although I would love to see Vijay in a good offbeat subject.
Paruththiveeran would not have suited vijay also. I can't see him in that role.
GS,
Ameer had Vijay in mind before anyone else. IMO Good directors can bring the best out of anyone. Would have been nice and different if Vijay had opted for it.
Dhool was another big miss. Again Vikram was stunning in Dhool and did complete justice, but Dharani was in pretty terrific form those days and it would been a memorable Vijay-Dharani combination.
Yea, even Vijay has said he regrets not doing Dhool
+ 1. He was not looked up as a mass entertainer until he tasted success in movies like Thirumalai, Gilli etc. Had he done Paruthiveeran, you never know...he may have achieved that flexibility of acting in such roles once in a while. Right now, I think even Vijay hesitates to undertake such projects thinking that he may not be accepted in such roles. My personal opinion is ..it's always worth trying. He is perceived as a huge star but his performance is always underrated cos of his star power and charisma. Such movies would highlight his brilliant ability and skill to perform.
