The director Kim ki-duk is of some interest to me. Hubber Sid_316 was referring to him. I liked his prolific works, "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter and Spring", and "Bin-jip". But wanting to check out more.Quote:

Reservoir dogs :) enjoyed the last 30 mints, the nonlinear narrative without much actions .. the pace drags
That's interesting, AravindMano. Thanks!
I had watched a BBC special with Jonathan Ross covering his works. It's not surprising the title '3-Iron' also had to do with Kim's fascination for the sport. He has effusing praise for Golf, some of it coming from a philosophical point of view, and its meditative quality. An interesting character.
'philosophical point of view' is quite interesting :) Actually i didnt get the whole thing about the hero in 3-Iron tying the golf ball to a tree and hitting it repeatedly (I assumed he vents out his anger on the girl's husband who plays golf often). Now this makes me think there could actually be some other intrepretation.Quote:

Question: Does it(Golf) give you an outlet for anger or does it cause more anger?
KK-d: (Smiles.) No matter how well you play, it's both infuriating and at the same time a great stress relief. You never know how you are going to hit a ball, and it changes from one to the next. A lot of people dismiss golf as sort of the bourgeoisie wealthy people's sport, but I do believe there is a bit of a meditative and philosophical quality about it. For one, if you try to do well, you won't do well. You must empty your mind in order to play golf.
