MGR is a legend in terms of MASS. I guess no one can try to capture political power like him through cinemas and maintain a clean offscreen and onscreen image.

At times I wonder whether its Kavignar Kannadasan or Valee. This song is one such !
Each sentence ending with valai is a nice way of penning lyrics and also shows the rich variety the lyricist possesses.

The movie is all about Makkal thilagam , a doctor by profession goes to a village and practices his medical profession despite opposition from his Father but finally wins the hearts of the villagers and most importantly JJ also
While singing each sentence, MGR smartly puts one bangle onto JJ's hands and smiles .

MGR's movies had a positive message. His film songs were inspiring.
However he portrayed his heroines in poor light (in a subtle way) in his later day films.

The costume of makkal thilagam in yester years( I am talking about all ..king movies) was amazing..!!!!! ..
class examples are: Arasakattalai,arasilangkumari, mannathimannan,kanchi thalaivan mahadevi.. in his late 60's adimai pen costume.. he will just come with neckpad kind of costume.. what a costume... man....it was really really nice of Makkal thilagam..
