madhu: Coco Cola company is promoting recipes with Coco Cola that includes cakes and other dishes ! :) I don't think I will use Coke in dishes. Who needs more chemicals? Their website has recipes contributed by people who tried.
Dear Gulabjamun, thanks for your post.
I remembered about 2 years ago, some one requesting for a coco cola cake.
I some how missed it, it seems they bake in a bakery in India.
Well, now I got hold of a friend from India and she gave me the recipe.
I tried and it turned out well.
No harm trying once for curiosity.
Hmm, you have to trust your friend, that her mom made it:smile::smile:
I will post it soon for you. Kugan

Rajraj uncle, thanks for your nice post.
Also thanks for the nice information.
I personally do not like all these fizzy drinks. My only drink is filter coffee.
Anyway it is up to the individual and their taste, chemical or no chemical.
I got a tin to try out this cake:neutral:
Thanks and take care, Kugan
Gulabjamun, here is the recipe.

125 grms of melted and cooled butter
400 grms of condensed milk
225 grms all purpose flour
4 tbs cocoa powder

All sifted together
200ml coco cola
Method:
Preheat the oven to 160 degrees C
Grease an 8 inch baking pan, keep aside.
In a bowl use a beater and beat the melted butter and the condensed milk.
Beat well till you get a gooey mixture.
Now add the shifted flour little by little, alternating with the coco cola.
Pour into the greased baking tin, and bake for about 30 to 40 minutes,
Or till a cake tester inserted comes out clean.
Remove and let it cool on a wire rack.

Madhu anneh, nice question. Ahmaa, butterai urukinaal ghee thaaneh?
Madhu anneh, I am no scientist, but I follow recipes with little alterations.
Well if they say melted cooled butter, I will melt the butter and let it come to room temperature.
It will be still oil on top and little sediments in the bottom.
COLD aannal, it will become mushy. This is what I know.
Please ennai vambil maati vudaatheengga.:confused2::confused2
