He is a jinx since the new millenium. flop after flop
dont ever say that again. Rahman jinx? u r one helluva person. Why would u say that? By Rahman's standard u can consider some of those albums flops, but by anyother MD's standard, he has done atleast twice as better.
Suttum Vili was one of the most successful songs of the past few years. It will be very difficult to beat it. But as we all know A.R.Rahman is more successful in Hindi than in Tamil.
buddy... there is nothing extraordinaire about its success or even its song.... ARR showed he could make a song hit even with the same star in it & movie only ran average, Sillunu's Munbe Va..... which u know Munbe Va is still in the top 10 list.. http://www.musicindiaonline.com/music/ut/s/tamil/10/Quote:

Kangana Ranaut has been dropped out of Aamir’s next venture Ghajini to be directed by AR Murugadoss. The actress has been replaced by none other than Priyanka Chopra. After working with the likes of Shah Rukh and Salman, the actress will be now working with Aamir Khan.
Apparently Aamir wanted everyone to be tight lipped about the film and that’s exactly what Kangana failed to do. The sultry actress was so excited about the film that she just couldn’t stop talking about it and thus was shown the door and replaced by Priyanka
Priyanka has said to have opted out of a couple of mainstream projects just to be a part of this film. And hopefully she will keep her lips sealed about this project unless she wants to go the Kangana way.

Pradeep Singh Rawat - the man who coaxed Aamir Khan to remake Ghajini
Pradeep Singh Rawat, the actor who played the role of Sultan in Sarfarosh says he is the man behind Ghajini's remake as he had inspired Aamir Khan to see the Tamil film Ghajini.
"I had played the negative lead in the original film and when we were shooting the director had casually told me that he wanted to make this film in Hindi too. Once we all - the Lagaan team- were celebrating Diwali at Aamir bhai's house when I made this proposal of the movie to Aamir. At that point he asked me if I had seen it and when I told that I have acted in the film he readily agreed. So I made arrangements for him immediately by asking director to send the prints to Mumbai."
"As Aamir saw the film he had loads of praises for all characters. He called Surya - the lead actor in the original movie and praised him. He even thanked me for showing him the film," says the excited Rawat.
And although Pradeep hasn't received a call from Aamir to act in this remake, Bapat says he still shares a close friendship with Aamir after having worked with the superstar in two films - Lagaan and Sarfarosh. "Even though he is perfectionist he is a very wonderful person at heart. He is very selective in decision but he always gives an opportunity to other actors who according to him will suit the role."

News about Gajini remake in Hindi has reached dizzy heights. The Hindi version, also titled as same as in Tamil, is being produced by Geetha Arts on behalf of Allu Aravind. In addition to having written the story and screenplay, AR Murugadoss will direct the movie. The shooting started on 7th May, at Mumbai, with Surya calling the first shot with the movie clap board and Telugu mega star Chiranjeevi capturing the scene in the camera.
Aamir Khan and Asin will be dancing to the tunes of AR Rahman. Ravi K Chandran and Sameer Chandha are the cameraman and art director respectively.
Sources say that, unlike the Tamil Gajini, there will be a lot of changes in the second part to suit the tastes of Bollywood fans. At present, the filming of the flashback scenes are in progress.
Gajini is being made on par with Hollywood movies where technical aspects are concerned. It seems that the movie's sound recording is done live. As any external noise would mar the process, outsiders are not allowed within the areas surrounding the shooting location and it is cordoned off with hundreds of personnel wielding walkie-talkies.
Moreover, on Aamir's strict instructions, everyone associated with movie are tight-lipped. The press is not allowed anywhere near the shooting venue and interviews are forbidden.
After the first schedule of filming is completed, AR Murugadoss and Ravi K Chandran will fly over to Malaysia and Singapore to finalize the location for Aamir Khan's conglomerate in the movie. In addition to this, a few songs with Aamir and Asin will be picturized in Egypt.
