These movies are the ones which endeared him to me. In fact, when every little kid I knew was a Rajni Kanth fan at that time, I was the only one who was a huge Sathyaraj fan. My admiration for him was so hopeless back then that I cried when Rekha slaps him in Kadalora kavidhaigal!! :oops:

But his recent choice of movies leaves a lot to be desired. :(

I am one of those fortunate to see him grow as an actor, from henchmen to villain (Nooravathu Naal) to hero, also his contributions in films like Muthal Mariyathai. Slow, but impressive growth.

Correction, Shankar is the Manivannan of the 90s/00s. His other films are always overlooked, but they are wonderful.
