Whether this statement about "Karma Bhoomi" is true or false (in a spiritual mystic sense), in its logical sense it is simply useless at this stage of human history to be accepted as an universal truth. Every great religion recorded in history has had there own understanding of the Universe and its connections with the "Soul of Man", and also this "Karma Bhoomi" aspect appears in several religions, what the western world knows as "The Chosen Land".

Also, "gods, puranas, faith, karma" have appeared in all major religions across the world in different different names and different different forms. One thing where I give credit to Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) is that it allowed for a completely free interpretation of the scriptures (the Veda) and thereby resulted in innumerable marvellous and multi-coloured philosophies to take birth and persist.

Also, it was always recognised that the dual nature of reality (good-bad, day-night etc etc) were both equal manifestations of the divine, but the Divine itself was transcendent of these dualities. Even this idea was prevalent among many civilizations and religions, but the Indian subcontinent was the first place that it was openly acknowledged in a wide expanse of space and time.

I have also heard about this, and also the stories about Jesus coming to India and learning Kriya Yoga from Babaji (remember the movie 'Baba'?). With all due respect to the evidence that these people claim, they are nothing but written records. How is it possible to believe them? How are they any different from the mythological stories?

India is indeed the seat of spiritual wisdom. And in fact Jesus might have made the trip that these people claim that he had made. But accepting a set of written documents as 'proof' of his journey is IMHO questionable. Moreover, there is this "Bhavisya puraana" text which supposedly predicts about Jesus' incarnation and arrival in India. But the exact date of creation and subsequent modification dates of this text still are questionable, and it might very well have been edited 'suit' Jesus' image after he had become known to the world.

Understanding how information (stories, facts or rumours or tales) moved from one region of the world to another in the ancient times is no joke. Now we have the mass media which disseminates information at a rapid rate. At those times, it must have gone through channels of trade, and sometimes through far more subtle psychological channels. Understanding where the information first originated itself is a considerable issue.

Taking into account all these considerations, IMHO it is best to accept this as at best another theory about Jesus' life. Moreover, I think the so called historical evidence of his birth and life itself is ambiguous (again the evidence claimed for this is documents and more documents). Also, there are many mythological markers which seem to fit in both the Christ's and Buddha's lives with an uncanny sense of similarity.

Since it is said that India is "Karma Bhoomi", all these chores have to be performed here. Performing these on other places may not be fruitful. (I don't know why :oops: )
