[tscii]I had this in my friends house, I asked for the recipe.
Here is the recipe.
SOOJI TOAST
Ingredients:
½ cup sooji pan fried
½ cup curds
2 tbs onion chopped fine
½ tomato remove the seeds, chop fine
1 green chillie chop fine
1 tbs coriander leaves chop fine
Salt to taste
Little water if needed
Little oil
Slices of bread cut into triangles.
Method:
Mix all the ingredients, sooji, curds, onion, tomato,
Green chillie coriander leaves and salt.
Add very little water and make into a thick batter.
Heat a dosai kal, dip each piece of bread in the batter.
Coat both the sides, see that the veges are sticking on the sides.
Or you can place a teaspoon of the mixture on top after dipping and placing the bread on the dosai kal.
Add ½ tsp of oil, place the bread slices gently.
You can add few drops of oil along the edges.
Cook on medium heat till the bread is a bit brown under.
Flip the bread and toast the other side for few minutes.
Serve with tomato ketchup.

Paattaale budhi sonnan
Pattale badhilum sonnaal..... (Kugan)
Hi everybody
Hello Suvai avargale.... Music keeps me going. Avlo pudikkum.
Aarthii, glad to know u r all recovering well... Kutti will be ok soon...:) We all missed u...
As U & K have said, it's very difficult to give medicines to the kids... I've put my lil one on homeopathy especially to evade from this problem...also no side-effects...:)
Sandwiches... I have very limited sandwich recipes... I just put in whatever dhal/veggies I cook into the sandwich...;) the potato sandwich is a recipe I took from my cousin's cookery book...she has cookery class in her skol & all their recipes r easy & yummy... I'll chk my books & let u know If I have any tried & tested sandwich recipes...
Peas Sandwich:
My hubby makes this sandwich using frozen peas...yum!!!...
Just cook the frozen green peas in the mw for 3-4 mins, adding lil water...Heat oil...add chopped onions...cook for 2 mins... add turmeric, chilly pwd, pepper pwd, garam masala...mix well... add chopped tomatoes & fry till pulpy... Add the peas, salt & cook till it becomes a lil dry... mash the peas a bit if u wish to. Use it as a filling for sandwich...
This filling is good for sandwiches tht we eat immediately...but for lunch box, I think the bread will become soggy...
This is a recipe I make from leftover tikkas...
Paneer Tikka Sandwich:
Cut the paneer tikkas into small pieces... Add some chopped capsicum, onions, green chutney & chaat masala... put this filling in between 2 bread slices & grill in a sandwich maker...\
any tikka would do...chicken/fish/paneer/potato tikaks... ellam nalla irukkum...
Sweetcorn Sandwich/toast:
Saute onions, capsicum in oil till translucent. Add chopped g.chillies if u want it spicy & saute. let cool.
Mix together boiled sweetcorn kernels, sauteed vegs, pepper pwd, grated cheese, salt.
Apply butter on one side of the bread & spread this mixture on the unbuttered side. Toast in an oven until cheese melts & turns golden brown.
Serve with tomato sauce.
Dev, thanks for all the sandwiches.
I will try them one by one.
Dev, I happen to meet a new friend in a function.
She is a brahmin girl. Got some vege sandwiches recipes.
Thats the one I tried today.
Will post few more of her recipes soon.
Praying for the early return of your laptop
