Yes, I quite agree with you that the words 'SR' actually means 'Southern Railways' as can be seen in many films of the day at that time. Perhaps, the producers would have thought SR could also signify 'Singapore Railway' and the audience won't take much notice of it!
Pudhiya Paravaj came close on heels after the successful run of 'Kaadhilakka Neramillai' in a premier theatre in Kuala Lumpur in late 1964. The audience had expectations after being introduced to Eastman colour format in Kaadhalikka Neramillai. They were not disappointed. If Kaathalikka Neyramillai was a full-length comedy in Eastman colour Puthiya Paravai was a sort of seeing a Hollywood suspense thriller in colour for the first time. It celebrated a long run then. In 1980 it was re-released in an inconspicuous theatre in Kuala Lumpur whose owners didn't expect such an overwhelming response after 16 years! They were forced to extend its run in this run-down theatre! For records, it was the period of Kamalhassan, Rajnikanth and Bhagyaraj but Pudhiya Paravai proved that old is gold indeed.

நமது திரியில் நடிகர் திலகத்தைப் பற்றி மட்டும் எழுதவே ஏராளமான விஷயங்கள் இருக்கும்போது தேவையின்றி வேறு சில விஷயங்களைப் பற்றி எழுத வேண்டாமே! நான் ஏற்கனவே சொல்லியிருக்கிறேன். நடிகர் திலகத்தைப் பற்றியோ அல்லது அவர் திரைப்பட சாதனைகளை பற்றியோ தவறான தகவல்களோ இடம் பெற்றால் அதை நாம் ஆதாரத்துடன் மறுக்கலாம். அதை விடுத்து எம்ஜிஆர் அவர்களையோ அவரின் படங்களைப் பற்றியோ அல்லது அந்தப் படத்தின் காட்சியமைப்புகளை பற்றியோ விமர்சிப்பது நிச்சயம் ஏற்புடையது அல்ல.
