Don't think any recent "non-festival" normal releases collected above 70cr in TC, Yennai arindhaal WW gross is 90cr, close to 30cr in overseas alone.. truly an achievement

Yennai Arindhaal enters the 25th day of its theatrical run today. The film may not have achieved big commercial glory at the box office, but it has been met with a good share of positive reviews and acclaim from not just ardent Ajith fans but also the neutral movie-goers.
A section of the audience feels that the film's release time wasn't perfectly planned as Anegan arrived in the very next week, while Kaaki Sattai released a few days back, thereby robbing Yennai Arindhaal of many theaters and shows within a short span of time.
Right now, across theaters falling under the Chennai city limit , YA has 8 shows a day, primarily in the multiplexes such as Sathyam, Escape and PVR. The film is still performing well on weekends in these multiplexes thanks to its urban appeal and the Chennai city gross is around 5.92 crores till date. The overseas space has been a profitable zone for the film, contributing close to one-third of the film's total worldwide gross.
Anegan and KK have no impact. imho, releasing in feb wasn't a wise choice. The scale of the success would have grown
