Swades, Rising (both were in the list too), still rejected :banghead:

IMO, Paheli sucked big time :twisted: If swades was there in the list , i would say SRK's performance in swades was way better than in paheli. Actually parineeta is a better movie than paheli 8)

I heard Parineeta and Swades are really good..haven't seen it...but if Swades was in the list, I would've wanted that movie to be nominated...

any way, Paheli was a different love story so that might be the reason for the nomination :? ...i think SRK and Mukherjee both acted well too...

paheli for oskar, :hammer: , let's send raaz for oskar. it is a better film. dear laxmi , please don't talk rubbish. the oskar screening committee will just throw it in the waste box. :) :)

Swades was much much better than PAHELI.....Would have had a real chance if SWADES had been nominated...

I saw taht movie with a great expectation. But it was just a disappointment.

Paheli's selection has caused a great flutter in Mumbai with ppl. wanting Black to be sent to oscars.......well, i felt even Black was a bit overboard with too much over-acting from rani and amitabh......reg. Swades, foreigners dunt like showing India in good light so they wudnt stand seeing a Indian living in an apartement with white-house view....

i thought iqbal was the best choice.....but hey i thought SRK was a bad actor according to a gr8 actors's fans then how come 2 of his movies are lined up for oscars??? :D :D

I remember vaguely from an earlier interview with SLB, the interviewer(lady) was stressing casually (till show ends) that Black was an inspiration from some (old hollywood/other) movie. She made it obscure by not revealing the name of the movie. SLB, didnt admit that & he was providing his counter part to prove its originality. As a viewer on his reaction, I can smell its originality.

That might be the reason...

Does anyone know the complete list of 11 films. Swades, Mangal Pandey, Parineeta etc.......
