Ajay - I was expecting a balanced thread on box office collections in general. What we're seeing is about 7 updates/day on Vijay's Kathithi since its release. Nothing against Kaththi and I would say the same for any other movie in its place. Dont you think its a bit unfair for other movies as far as this thread goes ?
The norm in thread is that whenever a new movie releases, BO data pertaining to that movie is updated and if the movie creates some kinda record, someone does a consolidation of the top 10 charts across regions and updates it. If you find any BO details about any other movie that you want to share here, you can always do that. :)
And before Kaththi release, this thread was untouched for quite a while and I asked a few people to revive this thread.
I've updated this thread myself many times but never restricted to a single movie. I've published 3 movies together trying to give a balanced view. With Kathithi it will be more readable to many if there's a good consolidation of its box office status. If there're continuous updates per day on the movie none other than Vijay's fans would read each one whereas a consolidated chart and its comparison with other movies would spark everybody's interest.
I could post a piece on box office updates only to discover that my post will be drowned by the sheer number of Kaththi updates :)
Thing is collections/records of kaththi collections updated by some reliable sources,distributors by daily basis...
Might refrain from posting articles of same collection report from different websites ..other than this I didn't find any problem with the updates..

Kaththi rakes over 100 crores worldwide; Vijay’s best record!
Vijay – AR Murugadoss’s Kaththi has raked in over 100 crores at the box-office. The film has grossed 65.1 crores in Tamil Nadu, 20.2 crores in overseas and 15.4 crores from the rest of India, where Karnataka and Kerala have the lion’s share. The total theatrical collection stands at 100.7 crores and the news has been confirmed by Anirudh Ravichander on his official Twitter page.

A.R.Murugadoss confirms Kaththi's entry to the 100 crore club
Kaththi has been one of the most successful films of 2014 breaking many records. It is now claimed officially that Kaththi has entered the coveted 100 crore club for worldwide gross in 12 days. This movie has been doing exemplary business in both Indian and overseas markets, with a reported total gross turnover of 100.7 crores till date.
Further, the reported Indian gross of 80.5 crores comprises Tamil Nadu (65.1 crores), Karnataka, Kerala and other Indian states. The overseas gross of 20.2 crores is from Malaysia, US, UK, Australia and other released countries. When we spoke to a few trusted trade sources, they said that the TN gross of around 65 crores is likely and that the final figure would be arrived at, soon.
The film released on October 22nd with a bang, and AR Murugadoss and the entire Kaththi team must indeed be very proud of the film and its performance.
