K S Ravikumar confirms GodFather audio release
According to ajithfans.com, yesterday, director KS Ravikumar came in a live phone-in program in KL Radio Channel (aired thru World Space). In the program, when asked about the release of Godfather he replied that they are planning to release the audio on February 1st week and the movie on February 18th.
oh No!!!!! not another 9 - 10 days delay.....goodnes...im dying here !!!! :shock: the bits in Godfather trailor is rising the expectation!!
As soon the majestic audio album of the majestic movie Godfather will release, let's make a point about it.
The first and also one of the highlights of this project is that 'Isai Puyal' A.R Rahman will direct the songs and background music for this film. This is the third time that he does music for an Ajit film after Pavithra and Kandukondain Kandukondain which its rights has been sold for a record price & Shankar Mahadevan has received a National Award for the best singer ( for the song 'Ennai Solla Pogiray' interpreted by Ajit Kumar ji ). For the lyrics, 'Kaviperarasu' Vairamuthu will pen all them.
The other and fantastic buzz is that for the first time our Ultimate Star Ajit Kumar ji will sing a song ( with his own voice !!!!! NOT CONFIRMED ).
The first song recorded and shot ( By cinematographer P.C Sreeram )is a duet with of course Ajit Kumar and Asin. This song is titled ' Kaatril Oru Vaarthai Midhandhu Vara Kanden', S.P Balasubrahmaniam and Sadhana Sargam gave their voices for the celebrities.
A.R Rahman will also sing a song. In the film, he gives his voice for the villain Ajit. This is a sentiment song and it is dedicated to Kanika who plays as the handicapped affected mother of Ajit.
Lately, Punjabi singer Sonu Kakkar joined the team of the singers. She is all excited about her first song with A.R Rahman. ''It was for a Tamil film called Godfather,'' says the 24-year-old woman. ''The lyrics were tongue twisters but it was an experience working with Rahman.'' Kakkar, who was introduced to Rahman by percussionist Sivamani, went in Chennai around the first week of July and spent two days there recording the song. ''He's really chilled out and cracks jokes all the time,'' says the Punjabi singer.
The audio album will contain 6 great tracks : most probably there will be an opening song, a theme music, a sentiment song, two kuthu songs, a melodious song.
The record rights had been purchased by the audio company Star Music Chennai & Distribution Rights bagged by Meta Music Chennai.
And the most important news is that Godfather's album in cassettes & Cds will be available from the first week of February 2006.

Sridevi to finance Godfather ?! January 24, 2006
Who said yesteryear siren Sridevi is out of Kodambakkam? She and hubby are very much here, business-wise. Yes, they finance films that are half-complete. First, they see the rushes and determine whether they have all the elements of commercial success. They then dig into the history of the producer and the director. If all factors read right, well, they bring in their money to bail a producer out and revive a good film.
One such movie that has captured their attention is Ajith’s Godfather. Sridevi is convinced by the star value of Godfather with Ajith and Asin in the lead, with direction under K.S.Ravikumar and music by A.R.Rahman. With Paramasivan turning out to be a hit, her confidence has grown higher. But it seems the actress doesn’t want her name to be mentioned anywhere in the movie. Sridevi’s office could not be contacted to confirm this news.

I thought that the shooting is over. For what do they need the money from Sridevi ? For the prints ? If they release the Audio they would have enough money.
I read in ARR Group that the Audio Release is confirmed on 10.February.
