It is a known fact that Superstar Rajinikanth plays a dual role in Lingaa and it will be a semi-period film. We also know that one of the two Rajini characters is named as Raja Lingeswaran. From the glimpses of the trailer we could also sense that this Raja Lingeswaran character lives in India during the Pre-Independence era.
On the other hand we hardly know much about the other Rajinikanth’s character, his name, his whereabouts or even the timeframe that he lives in? Nothing has been revealed yet.
But in one of the recently leaked shooting spot still, we could see Rajinikanth along with a fan standing in front of a 10thday movie poster of Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s ‘Pudhiya Geethai’ which was released on the 8th of May, 2003. So with the look of things Superstar's modern version in Lingaa must be living around the 2003 timeframe?
