another morning drive n it's Call Me Dil again to start my day...don't know why, this song just ceases to fade away from my daily playlist...Rashid Ali's throaty vocals, the guitar strumming that is there through the song but especially the prelude, and Mr. Tyrewala's lyrics...heard that he used this song in the end credits  wonder how a director can write something as creative like this and then not use it properly....sample this:
ek bas dil hai mera
tujh pe hi fida to hai
kaise ye maan le ab
hone ko alvida tho hai
ruk jaaa o dil diwani
pooche dil mera
kyun ye saza... dil to nadan hai...
wat ye lyrics for a beautiful moment in such a movie!
After ARR posted this video on his FB page, I went to listen to Chanda Suraj again with a better understanding of the lyrics.

ARR wouldve thought that the song didnt recieve the deserved recognition as it was played during the end credits of Raavanan. Hence this move...Quote:

Using a video of Aishwarya in a video with him, it even looks like a duet at times. didnt fit well. i think the song has reached the people who matter. his fans! with or without a video.
on another note:
Kalayil Thinamum - New (in new Bose in-ear headphones) i am hearing new instruments that i didnt know existed in the song. AWESOME!!!
What do you mean cheap & desperate? Whats wrong in letting people know that such a song exists?
ivangalaa etho nenachikuraanga, pesikaraanga.
guys, am not trying to pull a argument here. I just think the song has already reached where it needs to reach. no need for such a video? just sharing my opinion
u know what, cos the movie din reach that well, the song did not get its appreciation, moreover it was not released in the cd also... many of my friends were not even aware of such a song and they appreciated it when i posted end credit version in facebook...Quote:

Not really. Not many know that such a song even exists.
its fine with giving the song publicity. i was saying that the video is cheap. as you mentioned there is no need for aish in the videoQuote:

Softy,
The song has been included in the collector's edition cd with 4 more tracks.
My first post here. Listening to Porkalam Enge from Thenali. Mesmerizing tune, lovely rendition by Srinivas and superb arrangements by ARR. I never get tired of listening to this song.
Welcome to the club, bro. :D

Was watching the song on TV y'day and Prabhu is fabulous in the way he emotes throughout the song. One song of KB which I liked for picturization as well :)Quote:

Stumbled this upon in the tiyub. Great mix this from Poraale ponnu thaayi (right??). Is this a film song or a private album?.
Right, this is a rework of Poraale Ponnuthayi done for the album Vandemataram.
Thanks for the tip lm.
Roja Solladi - Alli Arjuna.
Awesome song with awesome rendition. stumbled upon it after ages while listening to the Roja album :)
Yes.. It was terribly picturised and hence went without a trace!!
Chinna Chinna Mazhai Thuligal. Need I say more?
Ofcourse I ask.
Thank you! listening to 'Theendai' from the same album.. Complete blissfulness!!
Is that Harini on the opening part or its KSC herself?
Before Chitra's opening there is a bit of continum.
now en swasa katre - Mesmerising ^ flying! Two contrasting bg vocals and veenai ending... <ROM>
Hello Hello - Jootha Hi Sahi.. what an amazing song, what an amazing album!
Revisited many songs today:
Indiraiyo Ival Sundariyo, Dol Dol, Desh Ki Mitti, Sahara (Version 2 - Hindi, Chinamyee ) Tu Meri Dost Hai (When thalaivar starts singing )
ARR is synonymous with versatility.

@ 1:58, the song is spirtually uplifted. I've cried many times when I reach this part of the song.
YES! The start is kind of surreal & detached (almost cold even) and then at 01:58 like you said, its something else. Really warm and beautiful. Always puts a smile on my face. :]
I've also revisited Kannukal Kannai:
