'Uthama Villain' to release on Oct 2?
Kamalhaasan's 'Viswaroopam 2' has taken a back seat since he announced 'Uthama Villain'. The film is almost nearing its completion is being directed by Kannada star actor, Ramesh Aravind. The sources now say that the movie might have an audio launch by mid September and the makers Tirrupathi Brothers are aiming for Oct 2nd to release the movie in a resplendent manner.
Over the last 15 years Kamal has been following a formula in his story selection. After handling a serious subject he throws a light hearted commercial flick, owing to that Kamal has decided to put 'Uthama Villain' ahead of 'Viswaroopam 2'. The movie will have a Telugu release as well in the form of dubbing. The story is expected to revolve around the lifecycle of a Superstar in two different era and to throw some light inside the cine industry.

Hindi was only North India release. This didn't release outside by Balaji itself (they themselves have said that they were pleased with the profits from the Hindi version alone.) I hope KH gives Hindi rights to Eros (Hindi Kochadaiiyaan got a limited release in overseas but it got a web release on net 2 months later.)Quote:

'உத்தம வில்லன்' படத்தில் செட்டிநாட்டுத் தமிழும் விளையாடு கிறது. அது தொடர்பான வசனங் களை செழுமைப்படுத்தவே என்னை அழைத்திருந்தார் கமல். நான் பேசிய செட்டிநாட்டுத் தமிழை அங்கிருந்த அத்தனை பேரும் ரசித்தார்கள். "பேசாம அண்ணனை பெங்களூருவுக்கே கூட்டிட்டுப் போயிடலாமா சார்?" என்று கமலிடம் எம்.எஸ்.பாஸ்கர் கேட்டார். "அவுகளுக்குத்தான் வேசம் குடுத்தாச்சுல்ல"என்று கமல் சொன்னதும் அசந்து போனேன்.
"எனக்கு நடிப்பெல்லாம் வராது சார்.. கண்ணதாசனோடு இருந்த காலங்களிலேயே நான் நடிக்க ஆசைப்படல. 'துர்கா தேவி' படத்துல நடிக்க ராம.நாராயணன் கூப்பிட்டப்பவும் மறுத்துட்டேன்" என்றேன் . "கவிஞரே.. சின்ன ரோல் தான். யதார்த்தமா நடிங்க. மத்தத நாங்க பாத்துக்குறோம்" என்று கமல் சொன்னார். பெங்களூரில் பத்து நாள் ஷெட்யூலில் நான் நடித்ததைப் பார்த்து டைரக்டர் விஸ்வநாத், நடிகை ஊர்வசி எல்லாரும் பாராட்டினார்கள்" என்று நெகிழ்ந்து போய்க் கூறினார் அரு.நாகப்பன்.
