that ‘Rana’, the trilingual
announced by Superstar
Rajinikanth on Friday, is nothing
but the revival of ‘Sultan the
Warrior’, the top actor’s first
animation film.
“Since the film involves huge
budget and requires more live
scenes, it has now been given
the avatar of a feature film in
association with Eros
International,” a section of
Kollywood pundits felt.
However, those close to Ocher
Studios, the production house
run by Soundarya Rajinikanth
which would produce ‘Rana’
along with Eros International,
were quick to deny this claim.
“This is a fresh script to be
directed by K S Ravikumar. To be
produced on a huge budget, the
movie will be simultaneously
made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
A popular heroine will be paired
opposite the Superstar,” they say.

There is some more action on the Super Star front. Just a few days after his 'Rana' was announced we have started hearing about his next film.
According to our sources, Rajini will join hands with Shankar again after completing ‘Rana’. Interestingly the current projects of the actor and the director are starting almost at the same time. If Shankar has just begun his 3-Idiots, the super star film would start rolling from March.
The Rajini-Shankar combination film will be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin and the official announcement is expected soon after the state assembly election gets over in May.
Meanwhile the Bollywood sensation Deepika Padukone is keeping her diary free for ‘Rana’. She is even said to have opted out of a film with Akshay Kumar to accommodate 'Rana' it comes to her finally.

Rajinikanth fans, who have been dreaming to see the superstar on Dhoom 3, are disappointed that the actor is not chosen for the key role. Their dreams are shattered after Yash Raj Films roped in Aamir Khan for the villain role.

Post-Endhiran success, their were speculations that the Dhoom makers are considering Rajinikanth for an important role in the film. It claimed that the superstar's superhero role in the sci-fi film had impressed them and they had approached the actor.
Later, the production house clarified that they have utmost respect to Rajini but they were yet to finalize the cast, which made the fans of the actor to wait with bated breath for an official announcement from Yash Raj Films.
Now, as they have zeroed in Aamir Khan for one of the lead roles, it has left his hardcore fans with frowny face.
