After hearing 'Dhaagam Edukira Nearam' I am stunned. All these things about being 'modern', 'sounds' etc sound so ridiculous. What a composition!! This has everything. 'Modern Sounding', 'Cool Sounding' say whatever you want but these are the kind of songs I would die for. Magical composition. Sounds like Madhyamavathi ragam.
Can anyone give me a link to mp3 songs of 'Kaathal Jaathi'. I keep listening to these songs on a regular basis on Thiraipaadal. Would love to have the mp3.

Dhaagam edukira neram.... and many other songs of IR shows he his maestro of music. He simply had mastery over music and that too with primitive technology at those times.
Nowadays it is easier for any tom & dick to come up with sounds (oversimplification but possible with little effort) by using softwares (which does everything).

OMG. Got me into it with just first listen. 'madhu mazhai pozhuyuma?' yeah!! What more 'madhu mazhai' than IR with his haunting, seductive, addictive music!
