'Vasantha Maligai' starring Sivaji Ganesan was released in 1972. It was directed by Prakash Rao and the movie made a record by running for nearly 720 days. The movie became a super duper hit with Sivaji's wonderful acting and the songs were very popular in K.V.Mahadevan's music and Kannadasan's lyrics.
In today’s scenario, attracting the audience to theatres has become a tough job and people look out for stories which are worth watching.
Now, the news is about ‘Vasantha Maligai' being screened in one of the oldest theatre in Trichy and attracting house full audiences for all the four days it was screened.
The evergreen film was screened for four days in Gaiety theatre and the movie received a roaring welcome from Sivaji’s fans. The fans were very excited and celebrated the film’s release in a grand manner.
