Again SPB's voice/singing in "Mounamela noyi" song is magical!
I have to write about Chitra. One has to learn from her, how to respect the original creation, be it sticking to the tune or the original emotions by the original singer and yet keep her touch intact. I still remember her singing "Putham pudhu kaalai..." song in one of IR's concert. What a rendition it was! Showed her class and the great respect she had for the original tune and for the singer, the great S.Janaki!
I am into Lalitha kamalam song. Check out the flute again.
Three posts in a gap of ~1 hour!! :)

krish244, well observed , regarding Arunmozhi/Napoleoan and Chitra. I have not listened to this NJ yet, but I remember in the Chennai December 2011 concert how Arunmozhi handled a barrage of violins, cellos with his inimitable flute passages in "poon kadhavE" song . Also wo can forget his soothing flute in the postlude of "poovE sempoovE" in the same concert ! Chitra is a very reliable singer and somehow one does not really miss Janaki when it is Chitra who is rendering her song. I also wished Raja had given Chitra the "putham pudhu kaalai" in mEgha.

I wish that I was in Chennai last week to enjoy these two incredible concerts where Maestro's music was the highlight. I hope that Maestro's fans would soon upload the videos to the Net. Maestro's official website too can provide some links or attempt to get the videos.

Also thanks to Madhan for uploading the Super Singer links. It's really fascinating to see young, dedicated singers delivering Maestro's super-duper hit songs. As SPB commented in a recent Vijay TV competition show, each of these songs was recorded with minimum 7-8 takes and some difficult ones took 14 takes. It is quite obvious when you see seasoned playback singers like KJY, SPB, Mano and, Hariharan, Jayachandran (exception being Chitra) commit several mistakes while rendering the songs live on stage. Hence it's not fair to judge the young contestants on a single take in front of so many viewers and judges. The more they can practice, the better delivery it is. This is true for even seasoned veterans. You have to just closely watch Maestro's expression when singers commit mistakes in live performance. He obviously doesn't like improvisation of his tunes/ songs because that's diluting the sauce.
True Rajsekar. In more than one occasion, IR has mentioned that how it hurts & pains him when things go wrong in Live @ Stage. This could be one of the reason he has not been doing Concert for Long Years.

Impressive Take on Thlaimuraigal Press Meet..
BM told IR in Moodu Pani time that if you do not understand my SILENCE, you cannot understand my words. Both have respected and maintained that till now.
Add on : Moodu Pani is BM's 3rd and IR's 100th Movie.(Many might be knowing it)
