Happen to see Holiday Trailer. People who credit ARMurugadoss entirely for the success of the film and Vijay's body language and mannerism, will change their minds once they watch the trailer. Even ARMurugadoss can't do much when he doesn't have an intelligent actor on his hands.
Kumaran, that was totally unnecessary.

after watching Thuppaki Remake Trailer...the editor has messed it up big time...most of the suspense scenes are reveal just like that..That Magic of Thuppaki is Missing..
Just saw Holiday trailer..... Now strongly convinced that the simple 'I am waiting' by Vijay was definitely not overrated
That was what I was thinking too. Akshay and Aamir are both a bit too old to play this part. Hrithik, John or Ranbir would have been a much better fit.
saw the trailer, but i didnt feel great while watching this trailer..because in tamil vijay had done a great job for this movie, presence of dialogues,bodylanguage,style,mannerism...but hindi i dont think akshay done better than vijay...vijay on its peak...even though when vijay says shoot its powerfull dialogue and look...but in hindi its just like simple...vijaymania rules
John Abraham was awesome in Force... On similar lines he would have been the best imo

Illayathalapathy's speeches these days are all about composure and he is more articulate, than ever.
He always gets good reception at the Anna University.

We missed him last yr.. Vijay was supposed to come last year itself to receive favourite heero award for Thuppaki.. He couldnt attend as he was in mumbai for shooting.. Murugadoss & Dhanu came to receive the awards..
Vijay has a very good fan base here.. Even celebrated 100th day of Thuppakki by screening it in OAT.. There was a massive crowd at CEG yesterday..

Thanks for sharing that video, Cedy. Great to see him speak so well. .. especially the "man of the match" comment...such honesty and humility is what sets him apart from the rest. Truly admire him for that. The more i see and hear him, the more glad and proud I feel about being his fan. I agree with you...he has come a long way in the way he addresses an audience these days. People who still ridicule him should take a moment and think twice.
Dammy, have you ever wondered how on earth, does Vijay manage his time and this well?
21 years, almost moves seamlessly from one movie to the other. No unwarranted breaks or breakdowns in between. No needless experiments. Just wakes up everyday and does the simple things right.
Consistency is his forte. Ecstasy or Agony, Winning or Losing, he remains the same. No wonder he looks so fresh and fit.
So he is in Chennai for V57 the last few days and hence he has squeezed his time to attend TR's daugther's marriage then another marriage on the same day, Balu Sir's funeral before going to Anna University yesterday. Yet doesn't carry heavy eyes or looks tired. Amazing, seriously.
He is fast moving from just being a favorite hero to being a role model. Simple, Unassuming, Humble, Consistent and more importantly, is successful and stays right at the top.
Yes Cedy... as I posted a few days back...time management is a quality that not many have. The fact that he always has line of sight about his future 2 movies (at least) and directors, apart from managing and squeezing time for all these events...is just worth appreciating. Being a corporate professional myself, I really wish I could imbibe some of these qualities and values from him. The other quality I admire about him is his ability to keep mum about all the crap that gets spoken about him...(we see a few examples here in the hub from some). He just goes on doing his job. I think he knows his strengths and limitations. ..and also realises that he is way above all these silly critics. In our country, when few people can ridicule an idol and role model like Sachin, I don't think anyone can be spared... :-).
Words Worth in Gold :) Well Said, Dammy.
Hardly matter, they would hardly matter to him :)
He has hardly dropped out of projects too...Once, a commitment is made, it stays. That's the reason why it was funny when people started criticizing Vijay when Yohan went under the carpet. Vijay did not waste time nor words when GVM was languishing with NEP and instead moved ahead with his next-in-assembly project with AL Vijay.
The last i could remember was when he dropped out of Unnai Ninathu for Vikraman.
Yeah and he didn't even bother justifying why GVM project didn't happen. He was confident that his true fans would understand. As far as I know, he has never walked out or opted out unless the project wasn't starting as planned or on time ...or if the director hasn't readied the script to the level of detail that Vijay is comfortable with (which is what happened with GVM I guess). In either case, he cannot be blamed nor was he being unreasonable.
As for the so called critics, I think even we as Vijay fans should ignore them...that's the best way to frustrate them.
Despite tight schedule he has time for everything. I became his fan for his simplicity and helping heart. Vijay fan anyday :D
