Importance of Saree

Hmm! I remember when i was in india, we went to one of the Kanjipuram silk sarees makers...we were impressed by the skills of the weavers...

yea they have very good skill.Unfortunately they are not paid properly due to some middle man :evil: and most of them are finding hard to survive :( :( thats the plight of the weavers

yep , same thing happend for thiruppur factories and they turned out to be sick units which were revenue generators before :(

Hi n swathy : which way of tying saree do you like? I like the normal south indian style - left shoulder mundhaanai and nowadays, i prefer to let go the mundhaanai, instead of pinning the pleats up!
I also like the Gujerati style... :D
