IR list is longer becuase he has done more films. Take the % you will be surprised. I am not praising IR for the success or ARR for the failures. During IR period we had many "class" directors and we dont have them now a days. The best ARR could get is MR and thats it.

IR BGM added values to even crap films and made them watchable. Many "amma" sentiment movies you can take.

As for as outsourcing BGM concerned - many reason why producers/directors prefer someone else than ARR - extreme delay caused to movies. Its fact.

MD is not responsible for movie failures, agreed, but all I am asking (hoping) for is for IR & ARR to work with talented people, so the entire movie watching experience would be very nice. Why have ARR/IR talent wasted in crap movies. Whats the point of audio being hit if it doesnt fit the movie? If thats the case, one can release a private pop album also.

His son Kalaaprabhu is directing this movie. This is his first movie in his career. A.R. Rahman scores the music for this movie. Actor Vijay, A.R. yeah....ir scored for crapper movies...but he made them hit movies by his music single handedly....mohan and ramarajan movies ran only for ir music.....thats his speciality!
